Furious ‘Kanika’ will Take Revenge for Female Feticide!

Through Marathi cinema along with entertainment a exposition is made on prevailing social issues. On coming 31st March through ‘Kanika’ one such question regarding female feticide will be raised. This movie will be a new experiment in Marathi cinema.
Female feticide is a social issue. Even after constant efforts made towards it there’s no change as such seen in today’s condition. On this background, ‘Kanika’ this horror movie is based. A story which goes hand in hand with today’s situations has been put forward via the movie ‘Kanika’. It’s a very serious message to the audience. In this movie Sharad Ponkshe, Smita Shewale, Chaitrali Gupte, Kamlakar Satpute , Ananda Karekar and Falguni Rajni are the star cast. Director Manohar has done the story writing of the movie. The specialty about the movie is that there isn’t a single song in the movie. Seven wonders motion pictures’ Sandeep Manohar has done the production of the movie. Amey Nare has given the music and Kuldeep Mohan has done the compilation.

‘Female feticide’ is a very sensitive topic. It’s importance hasn’t reached everyone. They have tried to look at female feticide with a different point of view in the movie. The story of vengeance is a new attempt in Marathi cinema. This movie will be loved by all,’ says the director Pushkar Manohar. Actor Sharad Ponkshe about the movie says, ‘ Being Marathi’s first horror cinema ‘Kanika’ is presented to the audience. But it’s not limited to horror story. It comments on a very bold and controversial topic. I am in lead role in this movie. Working with director Pushkar Manohar was fun. It’s a very thoughtful movie. A lot of thought has gone in producing it. Dolby sound, CinemaScope such fine technology has been used in this movie. That’s why audience should experience the horror by watching it in a cinema theatre.

Rahul bhatankar is the director and editor of ‘Bhay’ which will be released on 24th March.
When asked about his this different role Vineet said that, “Till now I’ve always got to play the role of a police inspector. Bhay is the first movie due to which I’ll be playing a different role. Since I was born in Chembur division I’ve seen gangsters lifestyle from close. Because of the production of ‘Bhay’ I got a different role to play and I’m very glad about that.”

Abhijeet Khandkekar, Smita Gondkar, Satish Rajwade, Vineet Sharma, Shekhar Shukla, Nupur Dudhvadekar, Dhananjay Mandrekar, Sanskruti Balgude, Siddharth Bodke and Uday Tikekar are the star cast for ‘Bhay’. Ajay Joshi and Anil Sable are the associate-directors and Ashish Chauhan is the executive producer. Story, screenplay and dialogues have been taken care of by Nitin Vijay Supekar. Prashant Rane is the art director and Rajesh Rathore is the cinematographer.

‘Bhay’ will be released on the 24th of March.
