Muhurat of Marathi Movie ‘Raja’

The changing definition of Marathi Films has really enhanced its presence on the Silver Screen. Marathi cinema with its intent and varied content, is also being recognized for its beautiful and pleasant songs. Sukhwinder Singh, who has created a distinct image for himself in Hindi cinema with his style of singing, had a song picturized on him and the muhurat of the movie ‘Raja’ was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Under the Banner of ‘Satyasai’ Multimedia Pvt. Ltd’ the film is produced by Pravin Kakad, the Co-producer is Naresh Sakhre.

On this occasion, Member of Parliament Dr. Pritam Munde, Dr. Ajinkya D.Y.Patil (Chairman D.Y.Patil Group), Pravin Darade (Secretary to the Chief Minister), Additional Director General Surendra Pande, Dr. H. Khorakhiwala (Chairman Wockhardt Group), Additional Police Commissioner Pratap Dighavkar, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Ranjit Dhakne, Industrialist Gaurav Khade, Pravin Talreja and Dilip Patil, were present.

The song ‘Raatbhar…. gaavbhar….. hovu de bobhaata jan jan janan janan vaajavu jannaata’ is sung by Sukhwinder Singh. Sukhwinder Singh himself will be dancing to this number. The dance has been choreographed by Santosh Bhangre. Sukhwinder said that he enjoyed dancing to this song and expressed his belief that the audience would definitely enjoy this song.

The Movie ‘Raja’ is based on the life of a pop singer. The story and the script is written by director Shashikant Deshpande, dialogues are by Milind Inamdar and Shashikant Deshpande. The songs, penned by Valay Mulgundh, are set to music by Pankaj Padghan. Saurdeep Kumar, Swarada Joshi, Nishita Purandare, Sharad Ponkshe, Jaiwant Wadkar, Surekha Kudchi, Vineet Bonde and Pauras Deshpande have acted in this film. Cinematography is by Damodar Naidu. The production manager is Poonam Ghorpade and the executive producer is Satyavan Gawde. Costumes are by Poornima Oak and make-up is by Sharad Sawant.

In Marathi cinema industry Mandar Cholkar is known as an expressive diplomat. But now he’ll be seen in a different role. Till now he has done many movie songs and serial tracks. Lyricist Mandar will now be writing for Sargam.  No, it’s not a name of a musical note, it’s a name of a name of a show. ‘Sargam’ is a musical show which comes on Zee Yuva whose writing will be done by Mandar Cholkar, hence, now he’s not only a lyricist, but also a writer.

While talking about this Mandar said that, he has just done song writing, that’s why when I first got the call from the producer for writing of the show I was reluctant to take it up. But after writing few episodes, I got a hang of it. In this show information about the visiting celebrity is given during the show. At such times knowing their information as well as to narrate life incidences they needed people who know them well. Since I have worked with many of them before, that’s why this was very easy for me, this work is fun as well as very informative. He was always under a impression that these shows are time consuming, that’s why he always stayed away, but now he enjoys this along with writing songs. The best part is that this new emerging writer has done the title track of ‘Sargam’.

Senior actress Seema Dev was awarded with ‘Jeevan Gaurav’ award.

In Marathi cinema industry Zee Gaurav awards is very respected and it grabs everyone’s attention. With it’s slow romance and rocking ‘Zingat‘, the mind boggling movie Sairat showed it’s magic in this award function too. This year along with best director and best movie award Sairat bagged 8 more awards. The function was very lively , along with graceful dance performances and a wave of excitement from the audience made it a big success. The highlight of the function remained the ‘Jeevan Gaurav’ award which was bagged by Seema Dev. Her down to earth personality and crisp acting skills are famous and won hearts of not only Marathi but also Hindi audience ; such a talented actress Seema Dev was announced to be the beholder of the Jeevan Gaurav award.

This award function is looked upon by audience and actors because it appreciates the performances of artists in Marathi film industry. Many look forward to who wins in this award. This year Half Ticket, Kaasav, Nadi Wahate, Ubuntu, YZ, Jaudyana Balasaheb, Sairat and many movies were nominated in various categories. From this, Sairat bagged the price for the best play back singer, best music, best director and best movie. Apart from that Imperial blue people’s choice awards best debut award was bagged by Akash Thosar and Garnier black natural performance of the year was bagged by actress Rinku Rajguru.

What made this function more exhilarating are the beautiful performances. Eye pleasing set ups and graceful dancers. Prajakta Mali, Shruti Marathe, Vaibhav Tatvavadi, Sonali Kulkarni, Prarthana Behare, Vaidehi Parshurami, Rasika Sunil‘s performances won hearts of the audience. In that too the most appropriated performance was of Abhinay Berde. He paid respects to his father Laxmikant Berde via his song and he was accompanied by his father’s co-stars i.e. Kishori Shahane, Varsha Usgavkar, Kishori Ambiye and Nivedita Saraf. Apart from this senior actor Mahesh Kothare along with Abhinay showed a glance of his grooves.

Due to its day by day increasing success many stars from Hindi cinemas have tried their luck in my Marathi. Moreover the audience has accepted them with all their heart and therefore Bollywood artists are increasing in Marathi cinemas.
After finding success and fame in Hindi, one more name is added to the list of people who made a debut in Marathi cinema and that is of actor Gulshan Devaiah. He imprinted on our hearts through his acting in movies like Ram Leela, Shaitaan and Hunterrr. He’ll be now be seen in Marathi movie ‘Daav’.

Gulshan Devaiah' Marathi cinema..'Daav'!Being originally from Bengaluru, we got to know that Gulshan took Marathi lessons for a month to be able to do justice to this movie. When asked about the movie Gulshan says, ‘ Before this I might have spoken 2-3 lines in Hunter movie. But that doesn’t mean that I know how to speak in Marathi. Though, for upcoming Marathi cinema ‘Daav’ I had to talk fluently in Marathi, and I loved the movies story-line, that’s why because of language difference I didn’t risk to let this movie get out of my hands, instead I took Marathi lessons for a month. Actually since I have lived in Mumbai’s environment, learning this language wasn’t a big task for me. Now I can talk fluently in Marathi.’

Till now Bollywood’s many famous cinemas have been produced by Oddball Motion Pictures. This movie is their first Marathi cinema production. It has been directed by Kanishk Verma. This movie has two different languages together i.e. Hindi and Marathi, makes it a pry situation. Tony D’souza, Nitin Upadhyay and Amul Mohan are the producers of this movie. Gulshan, being a commendable actor in Hindi film industry, we must await to see his work in Marathi cinema ‘Daav’.

‘Maharashtra’s people face with any problem with courage. Every villager has the strength to fight tough situations that’s why even in drought they come together and help each other’ such faith was shown by Hindi cinema industry’s master perfectionist and superstar Amir Khan on the stage of ‘Chala Hawa Yeu Dya’. To fight against the problems which would arise in future due to water shortage Amir Khan with his ‘Paani Foundation‘ set up is visiting small small villages and working on it.

Last year he had organized ‘Water Cup Competition‘ in villages from 3 talukas. Looking at the success rate of this step , this year ‘Paani Foundation’ will be visiting thousands of villages from 30 talukas to give demonstration. To inform everyone about this plan Amir Khan along with his wife ‘Kiran Rao’ took part in the programme. With him was the main head Satyajeet Batkal and senior water body reviewer and foundation co-founder Dr. Avinash Pol.

A perspective actor and one responsible citizen is what Amir Khan is famously known for but apart from this he believes in doing deeds rather than just speaking. Because of he didn’t stop at making speeches about Maharashtra’s drought conditions instead he has started a plan to work against it. After studying about the water shortage issues and analyzing them he has taken up a very easy doable experiment for which he has selected a few talukas.

Amir Khan and his associates went to such villages and gave them information about this project and it has been taken up in full action. Amir Khan spoke about this plan of his project on Chala Hava Yeu Dya and people listened to him with all ears.
“We teach people how to easily save water, harvest it, and how to utilize it. Many people from last years project will be seen present for demonstrating this experiment.” this information was given by Dr. Pol and Satyajeet Batkal. Many people who took part in this project were present to talk about their experiences.

To connect with people and to make them aware about water shortage ‘Paani Foundation’ is making efforts via the show Dushkalashi Don Haath in which they will demonstrate information about how to save water with Amir Khan will soon be coming to meet audience. Through this show people will be able to know more about ways in which they can save water and they can also take part in water cup competition.

In a person’s life who keeps swearing a lot something such happens that he is unable to swear the next day. Then what happens to him in such condition is projected in this movie. Sakar Raut and Nilesh Jhope have done the story writing. Sakar Raut has also directed the movie. With help of Sara Motion Pictures, Golden Petals films, Karma films and Rangmanch Entertainment, Dhwani Sakar Raut, Nilesh Zhope, Mihir Karkare and Akshay Palekar have done the production of the movie. The movie comprises of Bhushan Pradhan , Sanskruti Balgude, Vidyadhar Joshi, Uday Sabnis, Piyush Ranade and Shubhangi Latekar as it’s star cast.

When asked about the movie, director Sakar Raut said,  “We use abusive language very often while conversing. At that time we don’t care about who surrounds us. Abuses are a part of everyday life. We have tried to put forth swearing with a different point of view in this movie. The audience will definitely love this movie”.
