Maharashtra is a land of brave heroes… people who fight with all their life are born in Maharashtra…. without saying ‘May Shivaji be Born but in the Neighbors House’ Many want that Shivaji to be born in their house, and such is the wish of not only one family, but many families and they wish to have this Shivaji for many generations is only found in Maharashtra. This serial which pays respect to such brave heroes is ‘Lagir Jhala Ji’ will be coming on Zee Marathi from Maharashtra day that is 1st may.

The district of Satara is also well knows as the district of soldiers.. From most of the families atleast one child goes into army. One such boy from Chandvadi is Ajinkya Shinde. He lost his parents when he was very young. That’s why he grew up with his uncle-aunty and grandmother in their house.

Ajinkya’s only dream is to become a soldier and fight for his country. But his house members are against this dream. The reason behind this opposition is that uncle has only one daughter Jayashree and they wish that she should get married to Ajinkya. Due to which their only daughter will stay in front of their eyes and in their old-age Ajinkya too will help them. Even after making him understand Ajinkya is not ready to compromise with his dreams.

Ajinkya who is patriotic towards his nation exact opposite is Sheetal. Who doesn’t have any goal in life. In Pawar house this pampered girl goes through her day life with fun and frolic attitude. In the Pawar’s house in past many generations no girl child was born. That’s why Sheetal is everyone’s favorite. Both her uncles and aunts love her a lot. Amongst all the cousins she is the only girl because of which she is loved by all. She does not have to any work or made to do any work. Everyone knows that Sheetal is lucky. When Sheetal gets married, everyone wants her to stay nearby is everyone’s wish. As much beautiful as Sheetal was she was equally sharp in talking. All the boys in the village were crazy for Sheetal but Ajinkya and Sheetal never got along. During this constant fight they eventually fall in love.

Due to his love for his country , he is ready to sacrifice his life and Sheetal does same as she is in love with Ajinkya. Because of his patriotism for the country, Ajinkya and madly in love with him Sheetal, this is their different and “sweep you of the feet” love story “LAAGIRA JHALA JI”
