Director Sagar Vanjari who got a lot of critical acclaim for his first film ‘Redu’ has announced his next film ‘Raapan’! The film was launched on social media by Sagar on 1st Januray! The poster of Raapan which was launched on the social media depicts a boat out fishing in the sea with a net and then comes the title ‘Raapan’.
The poster is very meaningful and attractive and has raised a lot of curiosity among the trade and audiences. From the audiences it is revealed that Prasad Namjoshi has written the film . The film ‘Redu‘ has got national and international acclaim in various festivals and the director Sagar Vanzari was awarded the prestigious Aravindan memorial Award for ‘Redu’. And therefore it is but natural that film buffs are eagerly awaiting his next film ‘Raapan’. Sagar reveals that the work on the film is going on and the rest of the cast and credits will be announced soon but he assures that it will be a content and message driven film.
The first song of the film ‘Premwaari’ ‘Baghta Tula Mee’ has ben released and the nice feeling that one gets seeing the beloved is the feeling expressed in this song. Chinmay Udgirkar and Mayuri Kapadne feature in this song and the song is a light hearted romantic song and this song sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam has been composed by the famous music composer Amitraj .
This picturesque song has been shot in the beautiful location of Trimabakeshwar. The songs have been superbly written by Guru Thakur and Mandar Cholkar in very simple words eloquently which expresses love and the song has been choreographed by famous choreographer Sujit Kumar.

The title of the film Sairat-2 has already been registered with Marathi Mahamandal. And it will have the son of Archie and Parshya as the central character of the film. Chhaya Kadam who portrayed the role of Suman Akka who sheltered Archie and Parshya in Hyderabad will be seen raising an orphan and then he will be handed over to his aunt played by Gulabjaam fame Sonali Kulkarni and this is the scenario of the film. This is evident from the trailer of the film. The film will have the revenge taken of Archie and Parshya’s killing by Prince Uncle by this son. The trend of making sequels to hit films has caught up in the Marathi industry. In 2015, Sangeeta Ahir’s Dagdi Chawl, directed by Chandrakant Kanse , featuring Ankush Chaudhary, Pooja Sawant and Makarand Deshpande in the lead, had created waves.
Not only did it bring into focus the gang-wars but it also had a touch of romance. The story, dialogues, songs and performances from all actors were talked about for quite a long time.
Now, to follow up the success of the film, Sangeeta Ahir Moviez is coming up with the sequel of the film. Titled Dagdi Chawl 2, the film will again be helmed by Chandrakant Kanse. While the details about the story and cast are still under the wraps, an interesting addition to the team has come in the form of Yogita Gawli, the daughter of Arun Gawli aka Daddy, who has come on board as the co-producer of the film.
The film will release next year and promises to have something excellent in store for the viewers.
