Popular Marathi Child Actors Roped in for ‘Salman Society’!

Popular Marathi child actors including Pushkar Lonarkar, Gaurav More, Shubham More and Vinayak Potdar will be seen in Kaliash Pawar’s Marathi movie, Salman Society.

Produced by Chandrakant Pawar and Rekha Surendra Jagtap under the banner, Prajakta Enterprises, Salman Society runs with the tagline ‘Padhega India to Badhega India’ and focuses on the issue of child education.

While Pushkar has been featured in prominent Marathi films including Elizabeth Ekadashi, Baaji, Firkee and Chi Va Chi Sau Ka, Gaurav has some popular Marathi shows and commercials to his credit.

Shubham has made his presence felt as an actor not just in Marathi cinema but also Bollywood in films including the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees. Similarly, Vinayak has been part of films including Tajmahal, and Yere Yere Pausa.

The makers have planned an extensive shoot schedule of Salman Society in Mumbai. The movie which is currently on floors will be releasing in December this year.

Music and Trailer Launch Ceremony of Inspiring Movie Ziprya

‘Ziprya’ movie and its’ title is inspired from the highly acclaimed novel by veteran writer and journalist Arun Sadhu, who has created his own mark in the both fields of journalism and marathi literature. He is also well-known for his writings on communist revolution and bringing this kind of literature to Marathi readers. ARD Productions and Divaas Productions have produced ‘Ziprya’ while it is co-produced by Atharva Pawar Creations and Ashwini Ranjeet Darekar is presenting the movie. Recently, music and trailer launch ceremony of this inspiring ‘Ziprya’ took place in Mumbai amidst much fanfare.

We often see children earning their bread and butter by polishing shoes at major railway stations. The story of ‘Ziprya’ revolves around the life of these children. In this movie, director takes you through a journey of a protagonist who has challenges coming at him but has a never give up attitude. He is not at all pessimistic about his future. Suddenly, the protagonist starts if feeling frightened of police. He has some tension related to his sister’s marriage. How he handles it is worth watching. ‘Ziprya’ is a mysterious story and completely revolves around the life of protagonist. On the other side, he struggles to overcome poverty, hardships and fill colors in his and his friends’ lives. The film’s trailer is convincing enough for bringing audience to theatre due to realistic storyline and underlying positive approach towards life.

‘Ziprya’, produced by Ranjeet Darekar presented by Ashwini Darekar, has been directed by Kedar Vaidya who has also written screenplay for the movie. The film stars Chinmay Kambli, PrathameshParab, Saksham Kulkarni, Amruta Subhash, Aman Attar, Devansh Deshmukh, Nachiket Purnpatre, Pravin Tarade, Vimal Mhatre, and Deepak Karanjikar in pivotal roles.

A special touch to this movie is the background score by percussionist Taufiq Qureshi. Sameer Saptiskar and Troy-Arif have composed the music while Abhishek Khanka and Sameer Samant have penned the songs for ‘Ziprya’. The other artists involved in this project include; art director – Vinay Katkar, choreographer- Umesh Jadhav, and DOP- Rajesh Nadone. ‘Ziprya’ has already won three state awards and is slated to release on 22nd June, across Maharashtra.

Landmarc Films Next Venture 'Pipsi' hit the Screens on the 27th July

Landmarc Films, which has highly acclaimed Marathi films such as Vazandar, State award-winning Redu, National award-winning Ringan, Gachchi amongst others under its belt, is all set to release their next ‘Pipsi’ on 27th July 2018. The film’s poster was recently launched across all social networking sites. One sees the two protagonists, a young girl and a young boy on the poster which makes it very endearing for all, especially children.

Produced and presented by Vidhi Kasliwal’s Landmarc Films, Pipsi is has a rural backdrop and the poster depicts that it is about the unwavering friendship of two little kids, which triumphs against all odds.

Pipsi is going to hit the screens all over Maharashtra on the 27th of July. The film stars two kid marvels Maithili Patwardhan and Sahil Joshi in the lead. The audiences have already got a taste of their chemistry in the teaser released recently. Maithili Patwardhan went on to win Best child actor at the recently concluded 55th Maharashtra State Awards.

Written by Saurabh Bhave and Directed by Rohan Deshpande, Pipsi is a must watch for one and all, especially since it gives an innocent, child-like point of view to a number of realities that surround us today.

The film has a well documented and researched storyline and has made a mark for itself in various national and international film festivals. Pipsi was selected at NITTE International Film Festival (NIFF) 2018 and the 58th ZLIN International Film Festival earlier this year. It has also been included in the upcoming Busan International Film Festival. Closer back home, it was the only Indian film to be selected in the Half Ticket section of MAMI last year. It was also screened at the Smile International Film Festival for Children and Youth 2017, in Delhi.
