Grand Muhurat of Ashok Saraf and Padmini Kolhapure’s ‘Pravas’ !

A ‘Journey’ is an essential part of everyone’s life. From birth to every walk of life it teaches us something or the other and our lives get enriched and experienced. This walk of life is different from one point of view and that has been portrayed in the film ‘Pravas whose mahurat was held in a grand style. The grand old pair of veterans Ashok Saraf and Padmini Kolhapure who have ruled over Hindi and Marathi cinema for several years is the lead pair in this film. Other veteran actors include Vikram Gokhale, Rajat Kapur, Shashank Udapurkar, etc.

Ashok Saraf said on the occasion that in his acting career of more than 50 years, he is happy to do a different role in this film. And this ‘Journey’ will prove to be a different experience for me and for the audiences too. Padmini Kolhapure expressed her pleasure in acting in a Marathi film Pravas after several years and hope her countless fans will like her in a new role. Director actor Shashank Udapurkar opined that ‘ What remains is what is important and this ‘Journey’ is that more important for me as he will learn a lot from the experience of his team of various actors and those he has worked with before. Producer Amol Kagne Debuts in Acting!

Amol Kagne, the man behind successful films and much awarded co-producer and presenter like ‘Halal’, ‘Lathe Joshi’, ’31 st October’, ‘Perfume’ is now making a foray into acting with Milind Ukey’s ‘Monsoon Football‘ and in his second innings he is playing a Gujarati husband.

In ‘Monsoon Football’ his co-stars are Sagarika Ghatge, Chitranshi Rawat, Vidya Malwade, Delnaz Irani,Pritam Kagne, Usha Naik in a powerful cast who will play football adorned with sarees and the trademark of homemakers which they have acquired after marriage will give them a new identity after a long struggle will be ready for the audiences in January New Year . Amol not only acts in ‘Monsoon Football’ but also in ‘Bhabho’, ‘Ahilya’, ‘Jholjhaal’, ‘Bhonga‘, and ‘Tujhe Majhe Arrrange Marriage‘. Amol is sure to make a mark as an actor like he did as a presenter and a co-Producer without a doubt.

Amol has acquired a Degree in Drama from Arts and Culture wing in Pune University .He has produced more than 26 theater plays and four films. In Bharat Rang Mahotsav held in National Drama School, he has also presented a play.

About his role in Monsoon Football he says that it is a very important role for me in the film of a Gujarati character and I am happy and proud to be a part of this film. The Gujarati character was a bit difficult for me since my mother tongue is Marathi. It was very challenging for me. I got the hang of my character from interacting with my make up person and my Gujarati friends. I learnt the nuances and the accent of the language from them. I also had to increase six kilos of weight for my character.

Director Milind Ukey about his actor Amol says that he is a very sensitive actor and his character was very difficult but Amol studied his character very judiciously and prepared for his character and because of his hard work and every situation till the last shot of the character; came out strongly .I am sure that Amol’s studied acting will always be loved and remembered by the audiences

How did you bag this film?

Rewati Limaye –

I was doing a film with Subodh Bhave called ‘Conditions Apply’ and the director of the film told me that there was this role of a sister but an important one in ‘ Shubh Lagna Saavdhaan ‘ and I showed them my pictures and gave an audition and I was on board for the film.

Pratik Deshmukh–

I was into theater and did many commercials where I was noticed and so bagged this film.

What is the story of the film ‘ Shubh Lagna Saavdhaan ‘?

Rewati Limaye –

It is a story about a marriage and the fun the families have while the marriage is happening and all the various funny and serious situations that take place . Actually Subodh Bhave and Shruti Marathe who have never been to a family marriage before come to the marriage and the funny incidents that happen to them form the gist of the film. Shruti Marathe plays my elder sister.

Pratik Deshmukh –

It is a fun film with a marriage as its theme and since it is a destination wedding in a resort in Igatpuri, we had loads of fun.

How was it like shooting for the film?

Rewati Limaye –

It was great since I had already worked with Subodh Bhave and shared a comfort level with him and Shruti was the most helpful to me friend on the sets. The Dubai shoot was very enjoyable.

Where was the film shot?

The film was shot completely in a 15 schedule in a posh resort in Dubai..

Igatpuri and Dubai, but not all of the cast shot in Dubai.

I liked the story of the film and when Subodh Bhave and when Shruti Marathe came into the picture we had a viable proposition.

We have shot in Dubai, Abudhabi and Igatpuri and the results can be seen on the screen.

Are you satisfied with the results?

Very much so.
