The ‘Durava’ between Suyash and Suruchi is over now.. And now this star pair will be seen in the horror thriller show ‘ Ek Ghar Mantarlela ’ on ZEE YUVA. All people are fascinated by the prospects of a good house and everyone is drawn towards it and generally there is one specific house which attracts you towards it and this thought is so suspenseful as is the show ‘Ek Ghar Mantarlela ’ on ZEE YUVA.

Marathi Poetry Goes 2.0 with Kavita Cafe


The rise of social media platforms has witnessed the birth of many YouTube channels for multiple forms of performing arts. Poetry has been one of them with various digital platforms dedicated to Spoken Word and Storytelling for English and Hindi poetry. However, marathi poetry has still remained unexplored in the urban and digital milieu. But not any more.


Fans of Marathi Poetry are soon going to witness poems by renowned Marathi poets on a specially created Youtube channel titled ‘Kavita Cafe’. The idea is the brainchild of contemporary Marathi poet Sanket Mhatre who has turned director for the first time with this project. The project has been produced by Pranav Pathak, a rising entrepreneur and an ardent poetry connoisseur. Kavita Cafe has already featured almost 50 poems by contemporary Marathi poets in its first season and will be featuring legendary poets such as Arun Mhatre, Ashok Naigaonkar, Balladeer Sambhaji Bhagat, Tukaram Dhande and Chandrashekhar Sanekar in its second season.

Sanket Mhatre, who has been directing and curating these poems can’t keep his excitement. “We want Marathi poetry to be relevant for our audience. We want them to not just listen to them but witness them visually, in a never before way. So we shot these poems in natural locations using the latest techniques. The film making experience was breath taking with the use of drones, turning these poems into a truly cinematic experience while retaining the essence of poetry,” says Sanket Mhatre. “We wanted to go beyond what was traditionally done on digital platforms. We realized that there is a huge audience for Marathi Poetry and no qualitative channel that serves quality content. Hence we came up with an idea that integrates the best of poetry and technology.

The result and response has been overwhelming!” says Pranav Pathak. The inauguration ceremony of the second season will be held at Ravindra Natya Mandir’s mini theatre on 2nd March from 4 pm onwards. We often hear housewives say that their entire daily work schedule has been hampered because their daily help lady has not come and their going to work in their offices has been stranded as they feel it is because of only their house help that they can concentrate on their work in offices. The maids who work because of their necessities like food, clothing and shelter are the most important cog in the wheels for ladies who go out to work. Whose presence make their lives comfortable and their absence can disturb the working women’s daily lives. Sometimes she is a sister and sometimes an aunt and sometimes she is just a cleaning lady.  And though she does not belong to a family she is an important component of the family. And just to tell this story of the house help comes the daily show ‘Molkarin Bai’ on STAR PRAVAH which starts on 18 March at 6.30 pm.

The tender relationship between the house help and the lady of the house is narrated in this show.  This show depicts the struggle and hardships these maids go through but they always have a positive outlook towards life which is the message they give through this show. We can experience some of the real life experiences we have gone through in the show.. Star Pravah CEO Satish Rajwade while speaking about the show says, “  We are handling a very difficult subject in the show of a maid servant. The maid servant is an important component of our lives. And that’s why we term them as support systems. And we take a look at their lives closely in the show. The story, screenplayand direction are by Adnan A. Shaikh& the dialogues are by Aditya Halbe. The cinematography is by FarooqueKhan. Rahul Raut, MandarCholkar, Jai Atre, Sachin Pathak and Sandeep Patil have written the lyrics and are set to music by Samir Saptiskar and WasimSadani. Well known singers from the Hindi and Marathi film industry AnandShinde, AvdhootGupte, Swapnil Bandodkar, Javed Ali, PalakMuchal, GeetSagar and JyotikaTangri have sung the songs. Hindi ace villain Rahul Dev will be seen in a special appearance in the Marathi film 'ROCKY'!

Rahul Dev known for his negative roles in Hindi and Marathi films is all set to make an appearance in the Adnan Sheikh directorial debut ‘Rocky’. Rahul when quizzed about accepting the role of a ganglord called Nana revealed that he accepted the role because of his relations with Adnan and executive producer Sunita Tripathi whom he had interacted while making of Leela- Ek Paheli. Rahul enjoyed working in ‘Rocky’ and has learnt Marathi to spout the dialogues in the film. In his opinion the Hindi and South industry is akin to Marathi film industry except that the budgets are low. Rahul will  next be seen in a Sunjay Dutt Starrer ‘Torbaaz’ directed by Girish Mallik and a small budget film ‘Army’.

The grand procession organized by Shiv-jayanti Mahotsav Samiti with the drum beats of the drum bearers, saffron flags, the war music  pipes, and the sticks warfare and the games played in the Shiv era made the atmosphere very Shivaji oriented.

Ethereally Perfumed Thrilling Love Story ‘ Perfume’!

The lovey dovey lovers come together with their perfumed looks in college for the first time and how their lives take a thrilling turn is the gist of the film ‘Perfume’.  The trailer of the film was launched recently on social media and an interesting story line, superb performances, melodious music, and beautiful cinematography seem to be the USP of the film as evident from the trailer.

The esteemed producer of acclaimed films like ‘Halaal’ and forthcoming ‘Lathe Joshi’ Amol Kangne Films  and its proprietor Amol Kangne and Laxman Kangne have presented this film. And HR Films Dr. Hemant Dixit and Onkar Dixit have produced this film and Karan Tandle has directed this film as well as the cinematography. Tejashri Pradhan and Mangesh Desai in lead roles For 'Judgement' !

Jyotsna Film Productions ‘Judgement’ has been announced recently. On the occasion snippets of how the film was shot, behind the scenes happenings, and other tit-bits was screened in the video format. Director Sameer Ramesh Surve has a cast comprising of Tejashri Pradhan, Mangesh Desai, and Madhav Abhyankar.

The film is based on former Culture Officer of Government of Maharashtra, Neela Satyanarayan’s novella ‘Runn’. Sameer Ramesh Surve has earlier directed ‘Shri Partner’ based on VA .PU Kales novella  ‘Partner’and ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan’. And so there must be a lot of novelty in ‘Judgement’ too. Dr.Pralhad Khandare and  Harshmohan Krishnatray had earlier produced ‘Pakda Pakdi’ with Ashok Saraf in the lead. The lyrics writer of the film is Mandar Cholkar and music composer is Naval Shastri. The other artiste in the film is Shree Partner fame Shweta Pagar. The other artistes in the film are Satish Salagare, Kishori Ambiye, Mahendra Teredesai, Shalaka Apte, Vijay Bhanu, Shilpa Gandhi, Prateik Deshmukh, Nilesh Deshpande, and child artistes Chaitri Deshmukh, and Numayara Khan.

The film with very good cinematography, powerful dialogues and a zany story which releases on March 1 will definitely be liked by the audiences. Under the banner of Harihar Films, producers Nagesh Mishra, Antriksh Choudhary, Kavishwar Marathe, and Rohit Chavan, have produced the film along with co-producer Rohit Patil.
