Why is Nirmitee Sawant Saying ‘Ek Tappa Out’?

From 5 July Star Pravah Marathi will start beaming a new sit-com show ‘Ek Tappa Out’ . A group of best comedians will be selected from the various participants on this show. And to cut fine these comic diamonds are the mentors Johnny Lever and Nirmitee Sawant and Bharat Jadhav. On the eve of the telecast of this comedy reality show this is a brief interview with Nirmitee Sawant.

Nirmitee M’AM what is so different about ‘Ek tappa Out’?

Stand up comedy and the phenomenal comic talent of the participants can be termed as the USP of this show. Generally we see skits on television but this is the first time we will be seeing stand up comedy. And foremost is comedy kings like Johnny Lever from Hindi cinema and Marathi comedy king Bharat Jadhav will be judging the show. So when I was asked to be a judge on the show I immediately agreed. As a result of this show the rich content of comedy in Maharashtra will be on show on one platform in this comedy reality show which will be a treat for the audiences.

What do you have to say about the participants? Have you given any tips to them?

I am learning a great deal because of this show and I am also upgrading myself and to say this would be an understatement . The talent in these contestants and their exuberance is shocking. The first part of the show has been shot. And now seeing the first part I am happy that I agreed to be a judge on the show. Every participant has his own individuality. After acting in many genres of comedy sit- coms I am happy to work with STAR PRAVAH. We had a grand welcome on the first day of the show. This love and affection I hope will continue.

What is the atmosphere on the sets when comedy masters like Johnny Lever , Bharat Jadhav and you are present together?

We have gelled very well and we vibe with each other very well. After judging every skit Johnny Bhai also performs an act himself which I like. The whole atmosphere on the sets changes because of this and everyone is in a laughter mode. This gives a different side to the show. Also we have seen Johnny Bhai in films, stage programmes but now seeing him, the Comedy King in person on television is a rare treat.

The show title ‘Ek Tappa Out’ is different and distinct ? What is the meaning of this title?

Yes. Its based on cricket and there is cricket fever everywhere. New contestants need an avenue to display their talent. STAR PRAVAH has provided them with this platform. And to take full utility of this opportunity is in relevance to EK TAPPA OUT. And I think its an apt title. So don’t miss this new comedy show which starts on July 5 On STAR PRAVAH Friday to Sunday at 8 pm.

The distributor of acclaimed films like Baban, Hampi, Shentimental, etc, the first space film Tik Tik Tik ,Oscar awarded music composer AR Rehman’s concert One Heart is Ankit Chandiramani Of Sunshine Studios is now stepping into Marathi cinema as presenter of the film ‘Smile Please’.

Ankit Chandiramani is a big name in distribution circles. He has worked in esteemed corporates like Rajat Enterprises, Dar Motion Pictures, Zee Studios etc and around two years back he founded Sunshine Studios. In the last two years he has distributed more than 80 films. And he has the experience of more than 700 films. He has also distributed Hollywood films like Dark Knight Rises, and Fast 6.

Sanjay Dutt Steps Into Marathi Film Production Titled as ‘Baba’ !

The star who has given many hits in Hindi films and is popular with many Sanjay Dutt is now venturing into Marathi cinema with wife Maanyataa Dutt. Their first production is titled ‘Baba’. Under the banner of Sanjay S Productions along with co-producers Ashok Subedar and Aarti Subedar of Blue Mustang Productions. Blue Mustang Productions had earlier made ‘Bucket List’ with Madhuri Dixit which was Madhuri’s first film.

The first poster of the film ‘Baba’ was recently released by the makers and the film is scheduled to release on August 2 2019.

An alumni of National School of Drama and who made a mark in Tanu Weds Manu, Deepak Dobriyal plays the lead role in the film. It is his first Marathi film. Also starring is Nandita Dhuri Patkar. Also a part of the cast are Spruha Joshi, Abhijeet Khandkekar, Chittranjan Giri, Jaywant Wadkar and child actor Aryan Meghji. The film is directed by Raj R Gupta who was an assistant director during the making of ‘Bucket List’. He has made a short film titled ‘Dhagaa’ for ZEE 5.

Sanjay Dutt tweeted and took the blessings of his father ,the great Sunil Dutt and dedicated the film to his fathers memory.He says, “ Our father and his memories have stood by us entirely during the making of this film. Love you Daddy”. Manyatta Dutt says, “ We are dedicating our first Marathi film ‘Baba’ to Sunil Dutt jee whose memories were like a Rock of Gibraltar to us and gave us a lot of confidence in making this film which almost doubled”. Ashok Subedar of Blue Mustang Productions says, “ Baba is a story written by Manish Singh and revolves around a father and a son set in a picturesque Konkan village and this story will touch the audiences of all ages because the scenario has a lot of sensibility and is a very simple tale”.

Baba’s Director Raj R Gupta says, ‘; There is no language for emotions and this has been expressed powerfully by all the actors in our film and it’s a story about a family which stays together facing against all odds and this tale has a lot of sweet and bitter sequences”.
