Ravi Jadhav to Present Romantic Musical Yuntum !

The name Ravi Jadhav in marathi cinema is always attached to quality films which despite being huge commercial success dot compromise on their content an quality. And the maverick Marathi director who has an enviable record at the box office has now attached his name to the upcoming film Yuntum.

Yuntum is directed by Sameer Asha Patil who made people stand up and take notice of his first film Chaurya that released earlier this year . The young lad surely seems to have bagfuls of talent as it is no mean achievement to get your only second film presents by someone as reputed as Ravi Jadhav. Yuntum, written and directed by Sameer, is a teenage love story which goes much deeper than what you expect from such films. Sameer has said that music would be the soul of the film. Talking about the film Ravi Jadhav said, ‘This year, I acted in Kaccha Limbu and directed a film like Nude which were two very diverse films. In 2018, I would be presenting films about the dreams of simple, earnest people on one hand and films about extraordinary feats which can serve as an inspiration to many. Yuntum is the first step in that direction. ‘Yuntum’ essentially stands for insanity. It’s a beautiful love story about a young couple from rural Maharashtra. Despite being set in the harsh reality of rural India, it is also about the extent to which one can go for the sake of love. I have presented films of directors like Abhijit Panse and Prakash Kunte before and I can say without any doubt that even Sameer Asha Patil is a director of the same caliber. Also, with this film I an getting to work with a veteran like Sayaji Shinde and a host of debutantes. I hope that I can play a small role in helping this lovely film reaching its target audience.

Director Sameer also expressed his great fortune of getting Ravi Jadhav to present Yuntum and promised that the that the audience will get to see something fresh in his love story.

Director Sanjay Jadhav, currently busy in promoting his most awaited film Ye Re Ye Re Paisa, has given birthday wishes to the great superstar Rajinikath by posting a special get together picture on his social media. Dhanashri Kadgaonkar Gets A Love Letter (Chithhi) !

Dhanashri Kadgaonkar who was reaching you through your small screen has now taken the jump to the big screen! Yes, your favorite actress will be starring in her very first film titled ‘Chitthi’. The teaser poster of this film was just recently launched on social media to much fanfare.

As the name suggests the film is about a ‘Chitthi’, but it’s not any letter but the one in which all the feelings and emotions are poured into. But the fun here is that love letter never reaches its addressee!

The film introduces the new pair of Dhanashree Kadgaonkar and Shubhankar Ekbote to the glamorous world of Marathi cinema. Talking about her role Dhanashree said, “I play a very simple ‘girl-next-door’ kind of role in the film. The writer of the film suggested my name to the directors and after an audition I was chosen to play the lead role.A workshop was conducted before the film and then we started shooting. The whole experience of the film was fantastic and it was particularly fun working with little children on the sets who always kept the energy levels high.”

Vaibhav Kaluram Dange has directed ‘Chitthi’ which has been produced Vishal Dange of ‘Dange Entertainment’. The screenplay has been written by Swarada Burse and Sujay Jadhav.

Well, you will have to wait for a little while more to know more about the film.

They say what’s in a name, but ask filmmakers and they would vehemently disagree. The title of a movie goes a long way in making a first impression on a potential viewer. And this becomes even more crucial for a meaningful dependent on its theme and story to make an impact.

The title ‘Fandry’ certainly had a ring to it. It drew people’s attention to the film. The maker of Fandry are now back with another film and remaining true to their reputation the title of their upcoming film is ‘Raakshas‘. Quite like their earlier venture, the title of this one too not only sounds catchy but also has a deep meaning.

The poster of the film was released recently on social media and it immediately caught the attention of the masses. Rakshas has an interesting casting of Saie Tamhankar and Sharad Kelkar in the lead role. It has been directed by Dnyanesh Zoting whose earlier film Half Ticket was lauded at various international film festivals all over the world.

Dnyanesh visited adivasi hamlets in childhood and this film based on those experiences.
