Grand Muhurat of ‘Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kay Asta’!

There are many definitions of Happiness and we are always after chasing moments of happiness and trying out different ways to get happy and now Samruddhi Porey who has always made films with different subjects is now trying to bring the audiences out of the theaters with a smile on their faces and an answer to the secret of happiness with her film ‘Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kay Aste’which is based on a true story set in Los Angeles in the United States of America and the grand mahurat of Porey’s film was held recently in the august presence of many dignitaries. Produced by Saibaba Studios and Samruddhi Cineworld together in collaboration, this will be the  first  Marathi film to be entirely shot in Los Angeles and Hollywood.

To give the art world a very good story and to bless them with happiness director Shiv Kumar and sensitive director Samruddhi Porey  have come together in this film presented  by Gajendra Singh who has made a name for himself with making different subjects and this film will star Ankush Chaudhary in the lead role and debutant model and advertisements star Zeenal Kamdar will be debuting on the Silver screen.

Writer and director Samruddhi Porey said on the occasion , “ This film is a different experiment to be produced with a reputed production house and that makes me happy and to delve on whether there is happiness in peace with oneself or is peace a part of getting happiness  is the gist of the story of the film will make everyone in the audience happy and satisfied “. Gajendra Singh who has been a part of many musical shows on television said that he was attracted to make the film by the honesty of the subject of the film and to be associated with Marathi films and its good relations and will definitely make me happy to be a part of such a production. Director Shiv Kumar said that with the film a very good story is being told on the big screen. The line producer of the film in Los Angeles is ‘Five Dimension Entertainments’.

To bring a smile to others faces is the true definition of happiness and it will definitely make you happy is a thought said by actor Ankush Choudhary and debutant Zeenal Kamdar expressed that it was a big honor to be associated with such big names in her first film. The film will start shooting in May in Los Angeles.

'Ek Hoti Rajkanya' - Sony Marathi's New Serial From 11 March !

If you recall a princess , you are reminded of the fairy tale and the fairy in the tale and now in the latest SONY Marathi show ‘Ek Hoti Rajkanya’  which was evident from their promos that the princess in their show is a simple and middle class girl from a family just like ours and how her life will be envisaged and her father reciting poems for her and for him his darling daughter is just like a princess. But for the apple of the eye of her father, the princess has to deal with many hurdles in her life. She dreams of doing social service and to wear a doctors uniform but the uniform that she gets is that of a policewoman. The life of this policewoman will be revealed from 11 March and the press conference of this show was held in Mumbai recently.

On this occasion the princess of her father Avni played by Kiran Dhane, and the fathers role played by Kishor Kadam, were present. Speaking on the occasion Sony Marathi Business Head Ajay Bhalwankar and the producer Mahesh Kothare of Kothare Vision and Adinath Kothare and the lyric writer of the splendid title track of the show Ashwini Shende and the superb executioner of the title track of the show Ashok Patki were also present .

As an example of the woman of the 21 st century , Avani has lost her father at an early age, she has to undertake the responsibility of her house and family and she has to take good care of her younger brother and her mother and she doesn’t fail any of her responsibilities . When will this difficult journey of the fathers princess end and as her father’s poem says that when will she gets the bouquets and how she will be troubled by her detractors will be shown in the forthcoming episodes of the show.

The title song and the story of the show is the riveting point of the show and has been written by Ashwini Shende and the title song is sung by Devaki Pandit and Ajay Purkar. And composed by Ashok Patki and Ashok Patki and Devki Pandit are collaborating after a long time.  ‘Ek Hoti Rajkanya’ as said in the fathers poems and her meeting with the Prince Charming in her life  in the end which will be witnessed by you from 11 March Monday to Saturday at 7.30 pm on SONY MARATHI .

Mann He Vede Ka Punha, Sang Na.. Tujhyatach Disate Ka Punha, Sang Na.. The Song ‘Mann He Vede’ depicts the deepest emotions of a human soul in a very melodious way. The music sooths the ears and the lyrics enlightens the soul. The romantic song was released few months back on social media and YouTube. The melodious song is penned by poetess Vaishali Marathe, music composed by Jeevan Marathe and sung by popular singer Anwesshaa.

Music arrangement of the song is by Varun Bidye and technical aspects are handled by Aanil Shindey. The single Music album is produced by Shrinivas Kulkarni.
Anwesshaa became popular at a very young age through the music reality show ‘Chhote Ustad’. Though she is Bengali, she had sung songs in many regional languages. Her most popular Marathi songs are from Marathi film Baban, which were appreciated by audience. Mann He Vede too is a soft musical number which is getting popular among the music lovers.
A lot of hard work was put in to create this melodious romantic song. Producer Shrinivas G. Kulkarni, who was raised in a middle-class family, always had production as his childhood dream. He felt really happy to create such a classic piece of work with his associates though he belongs to a drought affected Latur district in Maharashtra.

Subodh Bhave and Mukta Barve starred in Vikram Phadnis’s first film ‘Hrudayantar’ and it did wonderfully well and now he is coming with his next film ‘Smile Please’ for which Hrithik Roshan gave the mahurat clap. Present on the occasion were actors Lalit Prabhakar, Mukta Barve, Prasad Oak, Aditi Govitrikar, Trupti Khamkar gave the brief of their respective roles to those present and present also on the occasion were celebs like Zarine Khan, Ronit Roy, Kiara Adwani,  Shweta  Bachchan Nanda, etc. and others from Hindi and Marathi film industry.who gave their best wishes to Vikram and his team of ‘Smile Please’.

Hrithik Roshan said on the occasion that he knew Vikram was a very good director and immerses himself in his work over the film and since he knows the story of the film very well he is able to execute the shoot of his film very well . He elaborated that he had also done a small role in Vikram’s first film ‘Hrudayantar’ and that’s why I know how he gets into the film-making with vigor and how sensitivity and commercialism are packaged so well in his films. He also said that he was sure that ‘Smile Please’ will bring a smile to the lips of the audiences.

Vikram speaking about his film said that it was indeed a very special film to him and somehow he feels the presence of his mother in the script of the film and that’s why it is very close to him. When I started out to make this film, all those close to him helped him out a great deal and they are still helping me out. And that on this occasion he would like to thank all those close who have helped him out.  And that with ‘Smile Please’the audience should be in a better frame of mind after watching the film. With the  film Smile Please’ its title should bring out a positive outlook towards life and that life should be enjoyed fully. After a brilliant film like ‘Hridayanatar’ Vikram are coming with a film with a fresh new subject and an emotional sensitive subject to move the audiences . And also Vikram and Mukta Barve are coming together and that’s why the audiences will get something to be treasured and varied in this film. Hashtag Film Studios Nisha Shah and Sanika Gandhi of Krtyavat Productions are the producers of the film. Marathi Poetry Goes 2.0 with Kavita Cafe


The rise of social media platforms has witnessed the birth of many YouTube channels for multiple forms of performing arts. Poetry has been one of them with various digital platforms dedicated to Spoken Word and Storytelling for English and Hindi poetry. However, marathi poetry has still remained unexplored in the urban and digital milieu. But not any more.


Fans of Marathi Poetry are soon going to witness poems by renowned Marathi poets on a specially created Youtube channel titled ‘Kavita Cafe’. The idea is the brainchild of contemporary Marathi poet Sanket Mhatre who has turned director for the first time with this project. The project has been produced by Pranav Pathak, a rising entrepreneur and an ardent poetry connoisseur. Kavita Cafe has already featured almost 50 poems by contemporary Marathi poets in its first season and will be featuring legendary poets such as Arun Mhatre, Ashok Naigaonkar, Balladeer Sambhaji Bhagat, Tukaram Dhande and Chandrashekhar Sanekar in its second season.

Sanket Mhatre, who has been directing and curating these poems can’t keep his excitement. “We want Marathi poetry to be relevant for our audience. We want them to not just listen to them but witness them visually, in a never before way. So we shot these poems in natural locations using the latest techniques. The film making experience was breath taking with the use of drones, turning these poems into a truly cinematic experience while retaining the essence of poetry,” says Sanket Mhatre. “We wanted to go beyond what was traditionally done on digital platforms. We realized that there is a huge audience for Marathi Poetry and no qualitative channel that serves quality content. Hence we came up with an idea that integrates the best of poetry and technology.

The result and response has been overwhelming!” says Pranav Pathak. The inauguration ceremony of the second season will be held at Ravindra Natya Mandir’s mini theatre on 2nd March from 4 pm onwards. Renowned music director Kaushal Inamdar will be unveiling the second season followed by poetry recitation of these poets. The entry is free. Viewers can also watch these poems

We often hear housewives say that their entire daily work schedule has been hampered because their daily help lady has not come and their going to work in their offices has been stranded as they feel it is because of only their house help that they can concentrate on their work in offices. The maids who work because of their necessities like food, clothing and shelter are the most important cog in the wheels for ladies who go out to work. Whose presence make their lives comfortable and their absence can disturb the working women’s daily lives. Sometimes she is a sister and sometimes an aunt and sometimes she is just a cleaning lady.  And though she does not belong to a family she is an important component of the family. And just to tell this story of the house help comes the daily show ‘Molkarin Bai’ on STAR PRAVAH which starts on 18 March at 6.30 pm.

The tender relationship between the house help and the lady of the house is narrated in this show.  This show depicts the struggle and hardships these maids go through but they always have a positive outlook towards life which is the message they give through this show. We can experience some of the real life experiences we have gone through in the show.. Hindi ace villain Rahul Dev will be seen in a special appearance in the Marathi film 'ROCKY'!

Rahul Dev known for his negative roles in Hindi and Marathi films is all set to make an appearance in the Adnan Sheikh directorial debut ‘Rocky’. Rahul when quizzed about accepting the role of a ganglord called Nana revealed that he accepted the role because of his relations with Adnan and executive producer Sunita Tripathi whom he had interacted while making of Leela- Ek Paheli. Rahul enjoyed working in ‘Rocky’ and has learnt Marathi to spout the dialogues in the film. In his opinion the Hindi and South industry is akin to Marathi film industry except that the budgets are low. Rahul will  next be seen in a Sunjay Dutt Starrer ‘Torbaaz’ directed by Girish Mallik and a small budget film ‘Army’.
