This time round the cricket fever is everywhere and even in the fervor of elections the cricket fans are sitting at home and enjoying the IPL cricket matches and after IPL fever, the World Cup fever will be around. From the young to the old, everyone will be possessed by the Cricket fever as will be the kids. And the Marathi film industry will also be not far from this cricket fever.

A film based on cricket as a topic titled ‘Bala’ will soon release. This is the story of a small boy for whom cricket is everything. Recently the first look of the film was unveiled. Produced under the banner of Yash and Raj Entertainment Sachindra Sharma has written and directed the film. The film is set to release on 3 May.

The film stars Upendra Limaye, Kranti Redkar, Vikram Gokhale , Suhasini Mulye, Kamlesh Sawant and debutant Mihiresh Joshi. The film is produced by Rakesh Singh and co-producer is Madhu Singh and Executive producer is Ajay Singh. The DOP is RR Prince and the editor is Abhijeet Kundar . The lyrics are by Vijay Gamre and the music is by Mahesh Rakesh. The screenplay is by Sachindra Sharma and Shahid Khan and the choreography is by Habiba Rehman,, Vishnu Deva, Phulva Khamkar, and costumes are by Chaitrali Dongre.

The film will release on 3 May with a flurry of big hitting fours and sixes.

Ashok Saraf Starrer ‘Pravas’ Marathi Movie Shoot in America !

Marathi films have reached the nadir of good content and good presentation and have reached a new dimension and Marathi filmmakers are scouting for good beautiful locations to shoot their films and have started shooting their films abroad. And now comes the film ‘Pravas’ shot majorly in America.

The film has been shot in the exotic locales of Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. The unique USP of the film is the pairing of veteran actors Ashok Saraf and Padmini Kolhapure coming together in a film. The other cast comprises of Vikram Gokhale, Rajit Kapur, and Shashank Udapurkar.

The film is a depiction of human relationships on the backdrop of success and relations. The director of the film Shashank Udapurkar says, “ A few portions of the film has been shot in the US according to the requirements of the script and the audiences will get to see the fantastic visuals of these cities shot in 17 days which was a fulfilling experience.

The film produced by Om Changani and written and directed by Shashank Udapurkar with veteran DOP Suresh Deshmane and editor being Sanjay Sankla and the art director is Mahesh Salgaonkar and the music is by Hindi veterans Salim- Suleiman. The background music is by Amar Mohile. The music is by Srikant Desai and costumes are by Deepti Sutar and Tehseen Anwari. Pawan Palival is the executive producer.

This tough love story between Siddhi and Shiva titled ‘Jeev Jhala Yedapisa’ will be telecast from April 1 Monday to Saturday at 8 pm only on COLORS TV. This show written by Chinmay Mandlekar and produced by Potdi Productions will be entirely shot on locales of Sangli . Debutant Vidula Chowgule will be playing Siddhi and Ashok Faldesai will be portraying Shiva. Veteran actors Mohan Joshi and Chinmayee Sumeet are also a part of the cast.

Born in a middle class family in the village Rudrayat , Siddhi Gokarn is a self respecting, principled, girl and believes that the whole world is a nice place”. My self belief in the good of people is my strength and breaking myself belief is the weakness of others” is the principle of Siddhi’s life. On the other side Shiva is a very dashing and angry young man and believes in doing than talking ;is a tough bloke. So these two very different personalities get married to each other and what happens then? What truth about each other is known to both of them? Will the fire of anger and hate with a softness and cooling of love will bring these two in love with each other? This journey will make interesting viewing.

Grand Muhurat of ‘Dhondi Champyaa Ek Premkatha Held !

The grand mahurat of ‘Dhondi Champyaa Ek Prem Katha’ was held recently in the august presence of Bharat Jadhav, Vaibhav Mangle, Nikhil Chavan and Sayli Patil and the entire cast and crew. But the real fun starts now as Umaji’s cow Champya gets pregnant from Ankush’s bull Dhondi and then the real funny incidents start because of the two warring fathers and their two children in love and how Dhondi and Champyaa try to reunite the warring fathers and help their children in love. How the children succeed in their endeavor will be the watchable situations in he film.
