मराठीतील सिनेसृष्टीत सौंदर्याची खाण असणा-या अनेक मराठमोळ्या हिरॉइन्स हिंदीतही आपलं नशीब आजमावत आहेत. विशेष म्हणजे त्यांना यश देखील मिळत आहे. या हिरॉइन्सच्या मांदियाळीत अमृता खानविलकरचे नाव आवर्जून घेतले जाते. मराठी सिनेसृष्टीतल्या या नायिकेने आपल्या अदाकारीने हिंदी सिनेसृष्टीलाही नाचवले आहे. ‘नच बलिये -७’ पर्वाच्या यशाने अमृताने हिंदी सृष्टीत मराठीचा झेंडा रोवला. सध्या चर्चेत असलेल्या “बाजीराव मस्तानी” या सिनेमाचा एक कार्यक्रम नुकताच मुंबईत पार पडला. या कार्यक्रमाचा उल्लेख यासाठी करावासा वाटतोय, कारण या कार्यक्रमाची शो अँकर अमृता खानविलकर होती. रणवीर, प्रियांका, दीपिका या त्रिकुटाला घेऊन संजय लीला भन्साळी यांनी बाजीराव मस्तानी हा सिनेमा बनवला आहे. मराठ्यांचा पेशवेकाळ या सिनेमात साकारला आहे.मुळातच हा सिनेमा मराठी संस्कृतीचे दर्शन घडवणारा असल्याने या कार्यक्रमाची थीमही मराठमोळी होती. त्यामुळे या सिनेमाच्या कार्यक्रमाचं सूत्रसंचालन करण्याऱ्या अमृतानेही मराठी संस्कृतीला शोभेल असा पेहराव केला होता. या कार्यक्रमात अमृताने रणवीर आणि प्रियांका यांच्यासोबत खूप धमाल केली. या कार्यक्रमाची रंगत वाढविताना तिने रणवीरच्या मल्हारी तर प्रियांकाच्या पिंगा या गाण्यावर त्यांच्यासोबत काही स्टेप्सही केल्या. ” या कार्यक्रमाची शो अँकर म्हणून माझी निवड केल्याबद्दल मी खूप आनंदी आहे. मी रणवीरची खूप मोठी फॅन असून या अगोदरही आम्ही एकमेकांना भेटलो आहोत. रणवीर एक चांगला व्यक्ती असून समोरच्या व्यक्तीसोबत कम्फर्ट झोन बनवतो आणि त्यामुळेच कदाचित मी त्याच्याशी चागलं इंटऱॅक्ट करू शकले.” असा या कार्यक्रमाचा अनुभव अमृताने सांगितला .

Five Ashutosh Gowariker Films Preserved At

New York’s Prestigious George Eastman Museum

The world’s oldest museum dedicated to photography as well as housing one of the world’s oldest film archives, The George Eastman Museum, has acquired five films directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, to add to their impressive collection of 28,000 titles from across the globe.

Lagaan, which found its place among films like Caddyshack, Field of Dreams, Million Dollar Baby, Raging Bull, Rocky and other such classics in Time Magazine’s list of 25 All-Time Best Sports Films, is one of the films in the Museum’s recently acquired contemporary Indian cinema collection.

Jodhaa Akbar, the epic romance which won awards at both the Golden Minbar International Film Festival and the Sao Paulo International Film Festival while also sweeping all the Indian film awards that year has also been added to the collection. Swades, a film that was critically acclaimed and went on to find immense appreciation internationally, has also been added to the Museum’s collection along with Gowariker’s last two releases, What’s Your Raashee? and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey.

Producer, Sunita Gowariker commented “The George Eastman Museum is a beautiful landmark and to know that our films are a part of their collection is truly a humbling honour”

The George Eastman Museum collection of contemporary Indian cinema consists of 775 prints representing 597 film titles, all in 35mm format, made between 1999 and 2013.

“सिंड्रेला’ सिनेमाची अधिकृत निवड यंदाच्या “साऊथ कॅरोलिना अंडरग्राउंड फिल्म फेस्टिवल” (SCUFF) मध्ये करण्यात आली होती त्यानंतर लगेचच अंबरनाथ फिल्म फेस्टिवलमध्ये या सिनेमाला सर्वोत्कृष्ट सिनेमाचा पुरस्कार देऊन गौरवण्यात आले.यशाची अशी ही घोडदौड सुरु असताना आता नुकत्याच जाहीर करण्यात आलेल्या “ईंडी फेस्ट” या अमेरिकेतील मानाच्या फेस्टिवलमध्ये स्पेशल ज्युरी विभगात बेस्ट डिरेक्टर आणि बेस्ट फिल्मचा अवॉर्ड ही “सिंड्रेला” सिनेमाला मिळाला आहे.
“सिंड्रेला” या नावातच या सिनेमाचे एक वेगळेपण असून या सिनेमाच्या माध्यमातून भावा-बहिणीच्या अनोख्या नात्याची कथा या सिनेमात पहायला मिळणार आहे. सिनेसृष्टीत पदार्पण करणाऱ्या रुपेश बने आणि यशस्वी वेंगुर्लेकर या अभिनय कट्ट्याच्या बालकलाकारांनी आपल्या अभिनयाची उत्तम चुणूक या सिनेमात दाखवली असून त्यांचा हा पहिलाच सिनेमा आहे.
“सिंड्रेला” सिनेमाची कथा किरण नाकती, आदित्य हळबे यांची असून पटकथा, संवाद किरण नाकती यांचे आहेत. या सिनेमात अभिनेता मंगेश देसाईने एक उत्तम व्यक्तिरेखा साकारली असून एका वेगळ्या भूमिकेतून विनीत भोंडेच्या अभिनयाची जादू ही आपल्याला पहायला मिळणार आहे. याकुब सईद व जनार्दन परब यांच्याही सिनेमात महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका आहेत. सुप्रसिद्ध कॅमेरामन राजा फडतरे यांच्या नजरेतून या सिनेमाचे चित्रीकरण करण्यात आले असून आशिष म्हात्रे यांनी उत्कृष्टरित्या या सिनेमाचे संकलन केले आहे. मुरलीधर गोडे, ओमकार मंगेश दत्त, निकेत चौधरी यांनी लिहिलेल्या भावपूर्ण गीतांना किरण- गौरव या नव्या दमाच्या संगीतकारांनी श्रवणीय असे संगीत दिले आहे. पंकज पडघन यांनी या सिनेमाचे पार्श्वसंगीत केले असून सिनेमाचे थीम सॉंग ही त्यांनी स्वरबद्ध केले आहे. सुप्रसिद्ध गायक आनंद शिंदे, नंदेश उमप आणि गायिका आर्या अंबेकर यांच्या सुमधुर आवाजात या सिनेमाची गाणी रेकॉर्ड करण्यात आली आहेत
तर असा हा भाव-बहिणीच्या अनोख्या नात्यावर भाष्य करणारा “सिंड्रेला” सिनेमा येत्या ४ डिसेंबरपासून संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्रात प्रदर्शित होणार आहे.

Plot Outline :

सलमानकडून राकेश बापटला मिळाली कौतुकाची थाप ……

सलमान खान बॉली वूडमधील तीन खान पैकी एक खान…. या सलमानसाठी लाखो तरुणी आजही घायाळ होतात. लहानांपासून ते मोठ्यांपर्यंत अगदी सगळ्यांचा लाडका असलेला सलमान खान याने राकेश बापट या अभिनेत्याला शाबासकीची थाप दिली आहे. हिंदी मालिकांमध्ये आपली वेगळी ओळख निर्माण करणारा राकेश बापट सध्या खूप खुश आहे. जबरदस्त अॅक्शन, ड्रामा आणि एंटरटेनमेंटचा भरपूर मसाला असलेल्या वृंदावन सिनेमात राकेश मुख्य भूमिका साकारत आहे. राकेशची ही पहिलीच अॅक्शन फिल्म असून सुपरस्टार सलमान खान यानेही राकेशच्या अभिनयाचे कौतुक केले आहे. मुळातच वृंदावन सिनेमाची टीम ही साउथ बॅकग्राउंड असल्याने हिंदी सिनेसृष्टीतल्या अनेक नामवंत कलाकारांना दाखवण्यात आली. यामध्ये रोहित शेट्टी, सलमान खान यांचाही समावेश होता. हा सिनेमा पाहिल्यानंतर या सिनेमासाठी तुम्हाला माझी गरज नाही, हा सिनेमा सुपरहिट आहे, अशी प्रतिक्रिया सलमानने दिली. ‘रिअलस्टिक फिल्म कंपनी’ या बॅनरखाली सिनेमाची निर्मिती करण्यात आली असून राजप्रेमी, संदीप शर्मा, सुनील खांद्पूर ह्या तिघांनी मिळून सिनेमाची निर्मिती केली आहे. गणेश आचार्य यांनी सिनेमातल्या कलाकारांना आपल्या इशाऱ्यांवर नाचवलं असून अमितराज यांनी सिनेमाला संगीत दिलं आहे. नवीन वर्षाच्या फेब्रुवारी महिन्यात हा सिनेमा प्रेक्षकांच्या भेटीला येणार आहे.

Unsung Hero ‘Kristo Singh’ soon to be recreating history

Today’s generation has only studied about freedom fighters and their struggle for free nation. They are inquisitive to know more and learn about our unsung heroes. Movies based on such emotional string are widely accepted due to our curiosity to know about the freedom fighters. Based on the background of Freedom struggle ‘Kristo Singh’ will be coming to meet you soon.

This story revolves around a freedom fighter Shri Krishna Singh also widely known as ‘Kristo Singh’. With the intension to spread the information of this unsung Bihar based freedom fighter, Kristo Singh movie was conceptualized under the banner ‘Maven and Daven Films’.

Incidentally the movie was announced with a Muhurat and song recording. First song itself recreated the era of 1930s. The song ‘Vande Mataram…’ was sung by Krishna Beura popularly known for his song Maula Mere from Chak De India! On this occasion Krishna Beura said, “I’m very happy to be part of this project. There are many such real heroes which we may have not learned or heard off. With this movie one more page of history will be unfold. I’m sure the way Maula Mere was loved by the audience, this will also be widely accepted.”

Adding further Director and Music Director Ricky Mishra said, “As my directorial debut I hope I’ll be able to give justice to such a great hero. This movie is our attempt to give tribute to such unsung heroes. Our first song is with full of energy and we felt that Krishna will be able to give that force and layers to this song. I’m really thankful to my producers Rajhanshji and Amitji to give me this opportunity.”

Under the banner of ‘Maven and Daven Films’ the movie is produced by Rajhansh Kumar and Amit Singh, grandson of Kristo Singh. The captain of the ship and the music is manned by Ricky Mishra whereas the story is written by Varadraj Swami. The movie is all set to go on floors and will recreate the pages of history which are lost with time.

Eros International and Bhansali Productions’ magnum opus Bajirao Mastani to also release in Tamil & Telugu

Eros International and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s forthcoming magnum opus Bajirao Mastani, slated to release on December 18 worldwide, will also release in Tamil and Telugu languages. The period drama will be dubbed in these languages to reach out to a wider audience base in the south markets.

Well-known lyricist Madhan Karky who has penned songs and dialogues for Tamil hits like Baahubali and Enthiran and popular Telugu lyricist Ramajogayya Sastry known for working on latest hits Srimanthudu and Baahubali will be working on the Tamil and Telugu dubs respectively.

Talking about the film’s language versions, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali said, “Bajirao Mastani has been a story I have been yearning to tell and I am glad that cine goers in the south regions will get to watch the film in their own language. This is a dream I have lived with for several years and I’m looking forward to audiences across markets living my dream with me”.

Commenting on this development, Nandu Ahuja, Senior Vice President, India Theatrical, Eros International Media Ltd. said, “Following the success of films in this genre in the south markets, we felt encouraged to dub Bajirao Mastani in Tamil and Telugu. A film of this epic scale and exceptional story telling demanded that we penetrate as wide as possible”.

As the trailer of the magnum opus recently created a splash on the social media front, the creative maverick reiterates yet again why Bajirao Mastani is India’s first truly global film.

Known to create nothing short of masterpieces, Sanjay Leela Bhansali who is also the recipient of a Padma Shri award ,has never failed to deliver films rich in content and high on entertainment, a visual spectacle captured on celluloid.
