Mysterious ‘Khichik’s Trailer Launched on Social Media!

One small boy is possessed and is always trying to find Khichik. But what this ‘Khichik’ is a mystery and this has evoked a lot of response from the colorful trailer launched recently Produced under the banner of Kantanand Productions and producer Sachin Anil Dhakate along with co-producers Parag Jambhule, Amit Kumaar Beed and written and directed by debutant Preetam SK Patil and DOP is Yogesh Koli and editing by Amit Malkani and Rohan Patil and music by Abhishek -Datta , sound by Raashi Butte, art by Nitin Borkar, background music by Vijay Gawande. Sachin Dubale Patil is the executive producer.

The film stars Siddharth Jadhav, Prathamesh Parab, Rasika Chavan, Paula Mcglin, Sudesh Berry, Anil Dhakate, Shilpa Thackeray, and child stars Yash Khond.From the trailer it can be ascertained that the film is about search for something but it has many layers and the films story takes a turn and many turns ahead and could be found only after the release of the film. The film has powerful dialogues, Strong performances, and has created a lot of interest among the cinegoers.

Prathamesh Parab – I am on a career high after the super success of Takatak and also have hits in my kitty like Time Pass 1 and 2.

Rasika Chavan – I have been appreciated in National Award winning films like Khwada and Dashkriya and have done theater too. I hail from Kalyan.

What are the characters you are playing in this film and the story of the film ?

Prathamesh Parab – I play a thief called Luxury whose life changes after a new person enters his life. It is an interesting character of a lover boy.

Rasika Chavan – I play a mother of a young child who is known to be very loud mouthed and is always shouting at her child and is a very different mother. I am playing a tough traditional woman.

How was it like working with the debutant director Pritam SK Patil ?

Prathamesh Parab – It was great. He knew his job and he really made us comfortable on the sets.

Rasika Chavan – He is really a talented director and I was happy to have worked with the director .

How was it like working with each other ?

Prathamesh Parab – Unfortunately I have only some scenes with Rasika. But Siddharth Jadhav plays a typical Bambaiyya Hero like Character.

Rasika Chavan – Yes. I wish I had some scenes with Prathmesh but I had scenes with Siddharth Jadhav whom I idolize but he really met me warmly on the first day of the shoot and made me comfortable. I wish I had scenes with Hindi star Sudesh Berry who is making his debut in Marathi films.

Prathamesh Parab – There are three songs in the film and one song is picturized on me.

Rasika Chavan – Unfortunately I don’t have any songs picturized on me.

Prathamesh Parab – My parents wanted me to study Commerce and after Time Pass I was sitting at home for one and half years and I completed my graduation.

Rasika Chavan – I am pursuing MBA but my parents are supporting my acting career.

Prathamesh Parab – I have done Drishyam which was appreciated but now I am waiting for good offers.

After Boyz and Boyz 2 Get Ready for ‘Girlz’ !

After the hugely successful Boyz and Boyz 2, Vishal Sakharam Devrukhkar is returning to the director’s seat. Only this time, it’s not for the boys, but for the girls.

Films based on the school and college life of young boys have been many in the Marathi industry, but Vishal decided to take the road not taken. The film, titled Girlz, will delve into the happening life of girls.

Speaking about the same, Vishal said, “Many people say that girls can’t be friend among themselves, like the way boys are. But I think that’s completely false. The friendship among girls and the fun in it is unique. The only difference is that the girls keep their conversations and interesting incidents in their lives to themselves. Going with the phrase Why should boys have all the fun’, I thought of making a film that brings the life of girls to the big screen. This will be a first-of-its-kind film in Marathi cinema.”

The film’s producer Naren Kumar adds, “It’s been a long time since a film about girls has been made in the Marathi industry. I remember Bindhast, which released almost 20 years ago. After that, Girlz will fill the void. When Vishal came to me with the story and concept, I immediately agreed to produce it because the story was very interesting.”

What will the film show exactly? Who will feature in it? All these questions will be answered soon. The film, which deals with the modern day girls who want to break the shackles of society and do something different, will release on November 15, 2019.
