Rohan Gujar’s Wedding Attended By Only 15 Guests!

Rohan Gujjar has set a new precedent! Yes, as we all know everyone’s favourite actor from the hit tv series Love Lagna Locha got married recently. But it was a wedding party with a difference. When you think of wedding these days you imagine a rather lavish event. It will be held in a huge open-air maidan with nothing less a three-course meal composed of cuisines from around the world. And if a couple from the entertainment industry are getting married, then the event is even higher on glam quotient with the who’s who of the film world attending it. But Rohan Gujjar has broken this convention.

Rohan tied the knot with Snehal Deshmukh in a quiet ceremony attended only by his friends and relatives. Present on the momentous occasion were only 15 people close to both the bride and the groom.

Rohan not only won the hearts of the audience with his charming performances in the TV shows Honaar Sun Me Ya Gharchi, Bun Maska and Love Lagna Locha, but also the heart of his friend of a decade and a half – Snehal. After they decided to walk the aisle together, both of them were firm that they wanted a simple wedding.

Talking about the simple ceremony Rohan said, “I shared this wish of a quiet and simple wedding ceremony with Snehal and she too got convinced. Then we told our families about our plans for the wedding.

They were a bit disappointed first, but later supported our decision. We took this decision not to just save our money, but to spend these special moments of our life in the company of our family. Also, if a lot of people come to our wedding, even then we are not able to meet and mix with everyone.”

Rohan and Snehal, who is the digital head of Zee Marathi, do have a large friend circle. So the couple surely must have been at the receiving end of a lot of scolding from their friends. But their idea seems to have struck a chord with the same set of friends, as a few of them are seriously giving a thought to also getting married in a similar quiet, private ceremony.

Well, Rohan Gujar who is already back to work on the sets of Love Lagna Locha seems to have set a new trend here. What do you think?

What’s Up Lagna’s New Song Will Make You Blush !

What's Up Lagna's New Song Will Make You Blush !
Even though the pace of life has increased rapidly, emotions have remained the same. The upcoming film What’s Up Lagna will be exploring this mismatch between the pace of life and emotions. And when you talk about emotions and life, you can’t help but think about music. Compositions on this subject need to be deep and emotional, but at the same time can’t afford to be so complex as to alienate the masses. There needs to be a fine balance, and the songs of What’s Up Lagna have miraculously been able to strike that balance!
The first song of the film that has been released involves the hit pair of Marathi film music – Nilesh Moharrir and Ashwini Shende. The pair have given numerous hit songs together. But despite collaborating several times their music doesn’t lack the freshness one expects from any song. The two have done a truly fabulous job with song ‘Tu Jarashi Ye Urashi’
The romantic number has beautifully managed to tap the right amount of depth in the love and attraction one feels towards one’s partner. Ashwini’s lyrics and Nilesh’s music works on you like a charm. The super chemistry between Prarthana Behere and Vaibhavi Tattwawadi only adds to the beauty of the romantic duet sung beautifully by Hrishikesh Ranade and Nihira Joshi.
What’s Up Lagna has been produced by Fincraft Media and presented by Video Palace. The film written and directed by will released all over Maharashtra on 9th February, 2018.

Sunidhi Chauhan and Shalmali Kholgade Unite First Time For ‘Baban’ !

Bhaurao Karhade’s Khwada not only left the whole of Maharashtra impressed, but also went on to win the top honours at the National Awards. Naturally, everybody was curious to know what Karhade would be doing next. Well, they haven’t had to wait for long as he is ready with his next film titled ‘Baban’. The first song of the film was released a few ago and its already a hit on social media. The song titled ‘Saj Hyo Tuzha’ has already managed to get more than 4 lakh views on social media!

Such was the craze for the song that the fans couldn’t wait to hear other songs from the album. Their wish has been fulfilled as the makers have now released the second song ‘Mohraachya Daaravar Kairya Magan’. This song is even better than the first one as none other than Bollywood sensations Sunidhi Chauhan and Shalmali Kholgade have lent their voices. The catchy tune has been composed by Onkarswarup and the lyrics have been penned by Dr. Vinayakar Pawar.

The foot-tapping song is an eclectic mix of South Indian music, Lavani as well as ballet. Now, choreographing the dance for this song was certainly going to be a difficult task, But choreographers Neha Mirajkar and Ganesh Patange have done their job exceptionally well. The dance moves in the song are going to become a huge hit for sure.

The arrangement of this composition is handled by people who have worked with legendary musicians like A.R. Rahman and Zakir Hussain. Another highlight of ‘Mohraachya Daaravar Kairya Magan’ is the use of the instrument ‘Naadroopam’ and ‘Sundari Vadan’ by Gajanan Salunke who has played the instrument in films like Khalnayak and Saudagar before.

Baban, produced by Chitraksha Films, will be releasing in theatres all over Maharashtra on 29th December, 2017. It stars Bhaisaheb Shinde, Sheetal Chavhan, Devendra Gaikwad, Yogesh Dimble, Mrunal Kulkarni and others in the lead role.

‘Deva Shapath’ Promises to Leave You Enlightened !

“He’s coming..in the modern times, in the present-day form” these words have been flashing across Zee Yuva for some while now. In the crowd of period dramas these words from a promo have undoubtedly caught everyone’s attention.

Believers and non-believers – there are two kinds of people in this world.  Now, in today’s times, if one has to link human consciousness with the idea of God, then how will man and God meet? Based on this unique concept is the upcoming tv series ‘Deva Shappath’.

An overwhelming majority believes in the idea of God. They believe that God is omnipresent and can manifest himself in various forms. While there are others who don’t believe in the existence of any divine force. They believe that their destiny is in their own hands and not in the hands of a supernatural being. ‘Deva Shappath’ is going to explore this conflict of thought. The TV series which will be telecast on Zee Yuva at 9:30 pm from 20th November will try to strike a balance between over-dependence on faith and the absolute lack of it. Kshitij Date will be seen portraying the role of the naughty modern-day Krishna (Krish) and Sankarshan Kharade will be playing the atheist Shlok. Actors like Vidyadhar Joshi, Seema Deshmukh, Swanand Barve, Shalmali Tolye and Abhishek Kulkarni will also be seen playing prominent roles in the show.

In the show we will see that in order to find an equilibrium between the over-faithful priest Vishwasrao Dashputre and his militant atheist son Shlok, Lord Krishna is forced to manifest himself in the form of Krish. ‘Deva Shappath’ will explore this idea in a rather entertaining way. It will give the whole debate over god a new twist.

Talking about the show business head of Zee Yuva, Bavesh Janavlekar said that his TV channel is known for promoting fresh content and hence they are backing a TV show like ‘Deva Shappath’. It will primarily be about how even in these modern times people feel connected to a divine force and how one should have faith, but not blind faith in religious matters.

Producing a film versus a serial are as different as chalk and cheese: Swwapnil Joshi

A candid chat with the heartthrob Swwapnil Joshi, popularly known as SRK of Marathi cinema. The actor, who played the role of Krishna in his teens, went on to rule many Marathi movies as a romantic hero with class, finesse and elegance. He takes us through his interesting journey and his maiden TV production ‘Nakalat Saare Ghadale’ coming up on Star Pravah from 27th November onwards at 7:30 p.m.

Interview with Swwapnil Joshi (Producer of upcoming serial Nakalat Saare Ghadale on Star Pravah)

  1. You really became a popularname through Ramanand Sagar’s mytho serial ‘Shri Krishna’. This year you complete almost 3 decades in the entertainment industry. How was your journey?

My journey started as Luv-Kush in Uttar Ramayan and then Shri Krishna happened and everything changed. Since then 28 years have simply whizzed past. But it feels like I have started my career yesterday. The beauty of our industry is that we get to experience new roles, new characters, new challenges almost daily. Every day feels like a new fresh day at work. But there is also tinge of anxiety, nervousness. We have to first visualize ourselves in a particular character before we present it to the audience. So it doesn’t feel like I have been working for almost 3 decades. ‘It feels like I have just started’

  1. Please highlight the key turning points of your career.

I have had a few turning points in my career. I was just 12 years old when I did Ramayan. Shri Krishna was definitely my first turning point after which,I became a household name. My second turning point was the non-fiction show Comedy Circus. The third turning point in my career was the first Marathi blockbuster ‘Duniyadari’. Although set inthe seventies; Duniyadari’s storystill remains relevant to youth of today.

  1. Tell us about your most memorable roles. Also about your dream role.

There are four roles which are very close to my heart. In fact, it’s really difficult to choose from them. Shri Krishna’s role was really special as you don’t get to impersonate God every day. This role not only touched hearts of millions of viewers across the country but also reached globally. Even today many people recognize me as Krishna. My most memorable role is definitely Shri Krishna.

Character Gautam from Mumbai Pune Mumbai is among my memorable and favorite roles. Shreyas from Duniyadari also remains to be my favorite. Actually, Ghana from Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta and Gautamhave very similar traits. These three are my favorite Marathi characters.

My dream role is always the next project that I will be working on.

  1. Please share aninteresting incident from your life.

I remember an incident when Duniyadari was running successfully in theatres. At that time I got a call from a theatre owner. He requested me, “Will you please get me two tickets for Duniyadari?’. I was taken aback and I told him, ‘You have your own theatre, how can I give you tickets!”. He said, “I called you to inform you that despite having my own theatre, I am having tough time getting even two tickets!”Probably, he didn’t literally mean it, but I believe it was a huge compliment. I was really amazed about how big my cinema turned out to be. I will always cherish this incident in my life.

  1. After successful stints in acting, you produced a few Marathi Films. How is the experience of producing your first ever TV serial ‘Nakalat Saare Ghadale’ on Star Pravah?

‘Nakalat Saare Ghadale’ is the hardwork of 3 people, Arjun Singh Baran, Kartik Nishandar and me. My heartfelt thanks to Star Pravahfor trusting a new production house to create such a big and prestigious show. So after a few films, we will be now producing our first television serial. It’s also the love, trust and confidence by our well-wishers that is encouraging us to take baby steps in TV production. I have been a part of TV industry since I was 12 and currently I am enjoying the process of creating a TV show. Thanks to this daily soap that I will have this pleasure daily.

  1. Tell us about ‘Nakalat Saare Ghadale’. Why did you choose to partner Star Pravah for broadcast?

‘Nakalat Saare Ghadale’ is a journey of a female protagonist from being single to a caring & loving step-mother to a little girl. Inthe backdrop, it’s also a tale of cultural differences between two distinct Maharashtrian families based in Kolhapur. It’s a story about changing relationships in modern times. In this show, there is drama, there are emotions, there are lot of twists and turns. Our show is a brilliant attempt of looking at relationships from a different yet beautiful perspective. That’s why I am highly excited about this project.

Star Pravah always endeavors to create rich content that is innovative yet rooted. Some of the cult shows such as Devyani and Pudhcha Paul which have set a benchmark in Marathi television, have been delivered by Star Pravah. As a production house,I really hope that with Nakalat Saare Ghadale, we will be able to live up to the grandeur, goodwill and reputation of Star Pravah.

  1. What are the major differences between producing a film versus producing a serial?

Well, there are lot of differences. For a film, there is beginning, middle and end. You start a film 6 months before the actual shoot, do the pre-production, complete shoot for 45-50 days and then next 45-60 days of post-production and promotion and the film is over. So maximum time span of a movie is about an year from inception to closure. Then the movie meets its fate on the box office. But for a TV show putting one quality episode on-air each day on a consistent basis is a humongous but interesting task. A film and a serial are as different as chalk and cheese.

  1. What kind of initial reactions ‘Nakalat Saare Ghadale’ is getting?

Well, the reactions are absolutely awesome and overwhelming. The audiences are stunned to say the least! When our first promo went on-air, we were extremely excited but also nervous. Star Pravah Communications did a fantastic job with the promo because people are loving it, appreciating the characters, their nuances, the little girl Pari who has already become a rage even before the launch. Take my wordPari is going to be a big hit. I hope in the days to come we will be able to fascinate the TV audience in terms of fabulous content. And as we approach the launch date i.e. 27th November, the expectations are going to be sky high which will drive us to excel further and also put us in responsible position, where we have to deliver only the best.

  1. What is your advice to younger generation trying to get into entertainment industry?

There is only one advice. There is absolutely NO replacement to hard work. So work hard and let your talent do the remaining job.

  1. Tell us about your upcoming projects.

As an actor, I will be doing two films. One film, which I am also co-producing, is still untitled. I and Sachinji (Pilgaonkar) will share the screen in an interesting father-son relationship. And the second film is the highly prestigious Mumbai Pune Mumbai (MPM) 3. It’s the first ever Marathi film to have a part three. It’s a proud moment not just for MPM team but for the entire Marathi film fraternity. I am really really excited about this hat trick! But before that I am looking forward to the launch of my maiden TV show on Star Pravah ‘Nakalat Saare Ghadale’.

Teaser Poster of Baarayan : Focuses on Education !

The upcoming Marathi movie is making a mark from the release of its teaser poster itself. The first thing to catch your attention is the unique title of the film – Barayan. When you focus further on the poster, you realise that the film might be making a comment on our education system. But it doesn’t seem to be trying to only make a comment, but also using the protractor to look at the system in a different angle. The bow and arrow made by the pencil, protractor and compass seems to be taking a particular aim. Well, we shall come to know what is it targeting only when the film releases in the theatres.

Now, let’s ponder a bit over the title. Baarayan? Is it about the whole ‘Ramayan’ that the students of the 12th standard (baravi) go through? Is the title trying to take a dig at the whole hype surrounding the HSC exam? Well, whatever it is, the poster has certainly made us curious, as well as many others, as the terrific response to the poster on social media shows. Everyone is rather curious to know which actors the film will star; this would also be announced soon.

One thing is certain, ‘Baarayan’ produced by Daivata Patil of Onjal Arts and directed by Deepak Patil is going to be anything but a clichéd take on the eduction system. Marathi cinema is leading the rest of the industries in terms of content. The excellent representation in the Indian Panaroma section of the prestigious International Film Festival of India is a solid proof of Marathi cinema’s quality output.

It seems ‘Baarayan’ too will be a film that will live up to the expectations one has from Marathi cinema, these days. The film will release in the theatres on 12th January, 2018.
