On STAR PRAVAHA’S Bio-pic on the great Humanitarian Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, actress Shivani Rangole will essay the role of his equally great wife Ramabai Ambedkar. One might have seen Shivani earlier in glamorous roles but such an epic character will be played by her for the first time and there is a lot of curiosity about her role and performance in the show. Ramabai Ambedkar was an intrinsic part of Ambedkar’s life be it his going overseas for higher studies or agitations or non-violent agitations , she stood by him like the Rock of Gibraltar and handled his family too with great patience and hardwork. To take on the responsibility of being a part and family of such a great man and that too of his wife is a very fortunate role for her.
Speaking about her role Shivani says, “ This is a very different role in my career. Very intelligent and balanced lady. To dress like her and to speak like her is a very different challenge for me. I am reading books written by Dhananjay Keer and Baburao Bagul. These books are helping me a lot to essay my character of Ramabai. The help of Dashami Productions, STAR PRAVAH, and the help of my co-actors is helping me to portray this important role of Ramabai. Ramabai’s work is great. And I am trying my utmost and a honest effort to reach out to the audiences about her great work”. The show will see the journey of the great man Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
