 It’s a proud feeling for everyone as 3 Marathi movies Halaal, Vakratund Mahakay, and Ringan has been selected for Cannes Film Festival this year. Pritam Kagne who plays the protagonist in Halaal is representing the movie at Cannes Film Festival 2016. The actress flew for Cannes on 14^th midnight. Pritam is extremely thrilled & excited to go to an international platform.

Pritam Kagne, who is excited about the way Halaal is going places, said, “I’m immensely happy and glad to visit Cannes with a movie! Over the moon, and excited for the screening of Halaal and also for the other two Marathi films which are going to be screened.”Besides the screening of Halaal & coveted outings, Pritam watchedsome international films and met some renowned cinema personalities at the festival.

The Actress shared the pictures of her journey to Cannes 2016 on social media. Pritam is looking drop-dead-gorgeous as she kept her make-up minimal with no accessories. Vidya Balan’s Amazing Transformation To Young Geeta Bali in Ekk Albela!

Vidya Balan will be seen playing the role of renowned yesteryear actress Geeta Bali in her debut Marathi movie, Ekk Albela.

Presented by Mangalmurti Films, the biopic produced by Dr. Monish Babre and Kimaya Motion Pictures Production and directed by Shekhar Sartandel, is a tribute to the legendary actor, Bhagwan Dada, for his contribution to the Hindi film industry.

Ever since the first look of Ekk Albela has been launched, people couldn’t stop raving about Vidya Balan’s striking resemblance to Geeta Bali.

Makeup artist Vidyadhar Bhatte and costume designer Subarna Ray Chaudhuri reveal what it took for the powerhouse performer to slip into her character.

“I took six-seven wigs along and tried out 10 hairstyles before zeroing down on a middle parting that enhanced the likeness between the two,“ says Vidyadhar, adding that the National Award winning actress has been wanting to do a Marathi film for a long time. “She was in Cochin when I called her. She heard the script upon her return and immediately agreed to be a part of the film.”

Vidyadhar wanted to keep Vidya’s look as natural as possible. “Geeta Bali had a thin upper lip so I used foundation to make Vidya’s lip appear thinner, ditto for her eyebrows which I coloured. Vidya didn’t take much time to get dressed and would never interfere in his work.

Costume designer Subarna Ray Chaudhuri, who had designed Vidya’s costumes in just six days, says, “We had a clear brief that Vidya had to look exactly like Geeta Bali, especially in the songs, ‘Shola Jo Bhadke’ and ‘Bholi Surat Dil Ke Khote’. I have worked with Vidya on Parineeta earlier so I am familiar with her taste. We used a lot of pista green, maroon and yellow because the colours complement her,” she says.

The designer would send pictures of sample fabrics to the director who would convert them in black and white to see if they had the desired effect. Even the jewellery was customised. “Designs from the time aren’t readily available. We’ve used a lot of gold, silver, emeralds, rubies and pearls. Hoop earrings which were in vogue, as also voluminous georgettes, silk and prints. We wanted to stay true to the theme and the period, so saris were draped in a certain way, the skirts were high-waisted and the blouses had cowl necks,” says Subarna.

The movie is releasing on 17 June 2016 All over Maharashtra. This is a third movie of producer Shivam Lonari already he has produced superhit movies like ‘Guldasta’, and ‘Chinu’. Chinu movie is awarded as Best Actress, for Maharashtra Government Award. Movie is produced with the inspiration from the Prof. Subhash Bhende’s Novel ‘Jogin’ .  Actress Tejaswini Lonari doing a role of Bernie.

Bernie is a Goa’n college girl who is glamorous, happy, excited and hot. Everyone fall in love with her. Her father is military retired officer and currently he is landlord. Bernie’s Mother is a good woman and loving her family a lot.  Bernie fall in love with a college student and they love each other a lot but unfortunately her leads to some illness and her father demands a promise from her. In response to that she has to leave everyone and her journey , how she become successful is a plot of the movie.

Along with Tejaswini Lonari other starcasts include Rajan Tamhane, Bhushan Patil, Girish Pardeshi, Savita Malapekar, Kiran Khoje, Sumukhi Pendase, Mousami Tondawalkar, Chaitrali Dongare, Raj Hasanalale and Radhika Deshpande.

Now everyone is waiting for 17 June to release of Neelima Lonaris’s Bernie.
