Vijay – Kruttika’s Pair In ‘Vitthala Shapath’ Promises To Leave Audiences Mesmerized !

Several pairs of lead actors and actresses have entertained audiences and left an indelible impression in Indian cinema. Not just Bollywood, but the onscreen couples of the Black and White era of Marathi Cinema have captured the audience’s attention and carved a niche for themselves. In Gurudarshan Films and Pehel Productions LLP produced Vitthala Shapath, audiences will get to see a new lead pair when the film releases in cinemas on 15th of September.

Directed by Chandrakant Pawar, Vitthala Shapath will see Vijay Sairaj and Kruttika Gaikwad paired opposite each other for the first time. Through this film, Pawar has highlighted the inexplicable yet divine bond shared by Lord Vitthal and his devotees. A fresh face was needed to act in this film that is based on the bond shared by a father and son. Countless auditions were held, but Chandrakant Pawar was not able to find an actor who would fit the bill. That is when someone suggested Vijay’s name to Pawar. And that is how Pawar found the film’s protagonists in the form of Vijay and Kruttika.

The confidence shown by Pawar and a determination to make a mark in the tinsel town has motivated Vijay and Kruttika to give extremely competent performances. Vijay plays the role of Lord Krishna in the film, while Kruttika essays the role of Nayana. Kruttika has acted earlier, but Vijay has faced the camera for the first ever time. Pawar is confident that Vijay and Kruttika’s chemistry will attract audiences and leave them spellbound.

Besides direction, Chandrakant Pawar has also written the story and screenplay of the film. And he has also written the dialogues along with Kaustubh Savarkar and Bhanudas Paanmand. Besides Vijay Sairaj and Kruttika Gaikwad, the film also features Mangesh Desai, Anuradha Rajadhyakshya, Uday Sabnis, Vidyadhar Joshi, Sanjay Khapre, Anshuman Vichare, Ketan Pawar, Vijay Nikam, Pranav Raorane and Rajesh Bhosale.

The leading playback singers of Marathi cinema namely Rahul Deshpande, Swapnil Bandodkar, Anandi Joshi, Adarsh Shinde and Praveen Kunwar have lent their voices for the songs of the film. The songs which have been written by Mahesh Kagane and Kshitij Patwardhan have been composed by Chinar-Mahesh, the leading music director duo of Marathi cinema. They have also scored the background score of the film.
