“PARTU” bags AMMONITE AWARD at Canadian Film Festival
Hidden Gems Film Festival honors “PARTU”
Based on a different type of a true story and exhibiting unique emotional values the film “PARTU” in Marathi produced by eminent East West Films from Hollywood has been honored with 2016 AMMONITE AWARD for the Best Film at the Hidden gems film Festival, Canada. Director of the film Mr. Nitin Adsul was honored with Ammonite Award crafted from rare stone.

Ammonite stone is unique fossil stone. Found in spiral shape or a crust which is rare and available only in Canadian State of Alberta. Therefore the Hidden Gems Festival is held at Calgary in Alberta State where the rare stone is found. Ammonite stones are of a spiral shape and also are said to have spiritual characteristics. The rare gemstone appropriates the frequency of the human body and enhances the vigor through creation of Kundalini energy. The spiral shape of this stone is also a symbol of evolution and progress. This type of gemstone is found at Madagascar islands in South Africa apart from Canada. The unique shine on this gemstone multiplies the attraction for an AMMONITE AWARD.
“PARTU” best among eight viable competitors…
There were eight viable films in the competition for the BEST FILM award at the Hidden Gems Film Festival held at Alberta, Canada. Jury Louis Hobson at the Festival said, “As all the films were of a very high quality it was a task in itself to adjudge the best film”. Louis Hobson further said that every member of the Jury was then asked to narrate the best side of every film and select a film with best PLUS factors. All the members of the Jury suggested “PARTU” for the award and the same was selected as the Best Film.

Expressing his sentiments after winning the prestigious Ammonite Award Mr. Nitin Adsul, Director of PARTU said that this is a proud moment for entire PARTU team. He said that he was very happy to see that PARTU has been honored at an International level. The Ammonite Award is a genuine fruit of the efforts taken by PARTU team for presenting a memorable experience through the medium of films. It is proved once again that the fruit is an enlarged replica of the seed sown. Mr. Nitin Adsul dedicated the Award to his PARTU team…
The story of this film has been penned by Clark McMillian, Nitin Adsul and Darrel Cocks. Marathi dialogues of the film have been written by Mayur Dewal. PARTU film is based on a different type of a true story and the period from 1968 to 1985 has been portrayed here. Sanjay Khanzode has handled the Cinematography and Music director Shashank Powar has provided appropriate musical score. Eminent singer Shankar Mahadevan has rendered the theme song for the film PARTU and well known Hollywood Music Director Mr. Greig Sims has provided the background score for the film. Editing has been handled by Rajesh Rao. Mr. Nitin Adsul, Sachin Adsul, Rupesh Mahajan, Darrel Cocks and Clark McMillian are Executive producers of the film. The unique bonds within a relationship can be seen in the film. PARTU has an eminent star cast in Kishor kadam, Smita Tambe, Saurabh Gokhale, Gayatri Soham, Anshuman Vichare, Navni Parihar, Raja Bundela, Ravi Bharatiya and child artist Yash Pandye.
