The upcoming Marathi film Dharmarakshak Mahaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj has generated significant excitement in Maharashtra, promising an epic portrayal of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s courage, sacrifices, and legacy. Presented by Sandeep Raghunathrao Mohite-Patil and produced by Urvita Productions, the film is directed by Tushar Vijayrao Shelar. Known for its high production values, the movie aims to bring Sambhaji Maharaj’s inspiring story to life in a way rarely seen in Marathi cinema, which has few large-scale historical dramas of this kind.
The cast includes Thakur Anup Singh as Sambhaji Maharaj and Amruta Khanvilkar as Maharani Yesubai Bhosale, with actors Kishori Shahane, Sanjay Khapre, and others in prominent roles.

Dharmarakshak Mahaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj will premiere in theaters on November 22, 2024.
