Female feticide is a social issue. Even after constant efforts made towards it there’s no change as such seen in today’s condition. On this background, ‘Kanika’ this horror movie is based. A story which goes hand in hand with today’s situations has been put forward via the movie ‘Kanika’. It’s a very serious message to the audience. In this movie Sharad Ponkshe, Smita Shewale, Chaitrali Gupte, Kamlakar Satpute , Ananda Karekar and Falguni Rajni are the star cast. Director Manohar has done the story writing of the movie. The specialty about the movie is that there isn’t a single song in the movie. Seven wonders motion pictures’ Sandeep Manohar has done the production of the movie. Amey Nare has given the music and Kuldeep Mohan has done the compilation.

It comments on a very bold and controversial topic. I am in lead role in this movie. Working with director Pushkar Manohar was fun. It’s a very thoughtful movie. A lot of thought has gone in producing it. Dolby sound, CinemaScope such fine technology has been used in this movie. That’s why audience should experience the horror by watching it in a cinema theatre.
