Marathi cinema is known for its excellent subjects and intent. Because of this many leading stars from Hindi film industry started producing films in Marathi. Now John Abraham’s name is the latest addition to this list. His first production ‘Savita Damodar Paranjpe‘ recently released the first teaser of the movie at a grand function.
John Abraham said that in the last few years many Marathi movies with good intent have been produced and I am happy that I am producing a Marathi film. I would be happy to work on regional films having a good aim. With a very good concept, talented actors and an excellent director he hoped the people too like the film ‘Savita Damodar Paranjpe’.
The director Swapna Waghmare-Joshi said that for a long time she had the idea of doing the film ‘Savita Damodar Paranjpe’, which was a very successful play. With everything falling in place the movie is now completed. She said that during the production of the movie, John’s co-operation was equally important. Actor Subodh Bhave was grateful that he was part of the film which was based on a very good concept. Trupti Toradmal, the lead actress, said that she was happy and felt a huge responsibility in playing the role of ‘Savita Damodar Paranjpe’ immortalized by Rimatai. Actor Rakesh Bapat said that this role was different and challenging compared to the roles he had played till then.
Sucessfull Producer and Distributer of many Hindi films. Kumar Mangat Pathak said he was happy to have collaborated with John. He hoped that with values, the production and distribution will get a bigger canvas.
‘Savita Damodar Paranjpe’ is presented by ‘J.A.Enertainment’ and ‘Panorama studios and film is directed by Swapna Waghmare–Joshi. The actors are Subodh Bhave, Trupti Toradmal, Rakesh Bapat, Angad Mhaskar, Pallavi Patil, Savita Prabhune and others. The story is written by Shekhar Tamhane, and, Screenplay and dialogues are by Shirish Latkar. Yogendra Mogre and Trupti Madhukar Toradmal are the co-producers. The lyrics written by Mandar Cholkar and Vaibhav Joshi are set to music by Nilesh Moharir and Amit Raj. Cinematography is by Prasad Bhende and editing by Kshitijaa Khandagale. Art direction is by Santosh Phutane, sound arrangement by Pranam Pansare. Costumes are by Malavika Bajaj and makeup by Vinod Sarode.
