‘Koti’- Felicitated In Many Film Festivals Now Set To Release!
Content driven Marathi films have imposed their superiority in many film festivals and even the audiences like them. Such a Marathi film that has garnered appreciation in many national and international film festivals is OMS ARTS ‘KOTI’ which is set to release soon.
The transgenders and their fate bestowed on them in society is the purpose of a fight given by a brother against societal norms in this tale of two brothers who share a sensitive relationship and is the crux of the story of this film. Barring a few exceptions such a story on transgenders has not come in Marathi films and KOTI is going to make a mark with his subject.
Child actor Adnyesh Mudshingkar , Divesh Medge, actor Sanjay Kulkarni, andactress Vinita Kale have played important roles in this film . Om arts Productions Dr. Santosh Pote and Dr. Sunita Pote have produced this film directed by Suhas Bhosle who recently garnered appreciation for his film on sand traffickIng mafia called ‘Reti’.
Bhosle says, ” this film is very close to me and has earned me many awards in many national and International festivals and I hope the audiences too like my film and i am eager to know their response and I am hoping the attitude towards transgenders will have a change at the outlook from the society.
The film has won many awards including Indian Film Festival of India (IFFI) in the IndIan Panorama category, and garnered a huge response after the Indian Government sent its entry , also Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Jury award, Sanskruti Kaladarpan Puraskar Award for Special Attention Film Award,along with four other awards in the same Puraskars, and five awards in Kolhapur Film Festival.
The story screenplay dialogues of the film are by Rajesh Durge, the DOP Is Bharat R Parthsarathi , the music composer is Manoj Negi & Baban Adgale along with background music,with lyrics by Sanjay Navgire. The editor is Sagar Vanjari and the executive producer is Shankar Dhuri, and the art director is Devdas Bhandare.
