Soon audiences will get to witness a magical combination of singer Kailash Kher’s soulful voice and Mangesh Dhakde’s pulsating score. The singer has lent his voice for Milind Shinde’s upcoming directorial venture. The song which is also penned by Shinde was recently recorded and after a long hiatus sees Kher sing for this yet untitled Marathi film.
The film which is produced by Radhe Motion Pictures deals with the subject of Athletics and will see Marathi cinema deal with the theme of Sports after a long while. The film is written by Kiran Barde with Mangesh Dhakde composing the music.
“We started scouting for a singer once Mangesh Dhakde composed it. We had thought of many names before finally zeroing on Kailash Kher. We contacted him and sent across the song. And after hearing the song he instantly agreed to lend his voice for it. He was fully prepared while he came to record the song and his melodious voice has made this composition all the more special” remarked director and lyricist Milind Shinde.
“The lyrics are so powerful and it motivated my decision to sing it. This is a true blue which will definitely leave a strong impact on the listener’s minds” said Kailash Kher.
Talking about the ever evolving music composition styles in Marathi, Kher added “Maharashtra has a long and rich legacy of musical and cultural heritage. Marathi Sangeet has been respected and has been a notch above others for a long time. And today’s Marathi music is carrying forward the same legacy. Meaningful lyrics that touch your heart and dwell on the inexplicable bond it shares with our traditions has made it all the more popular and this is certainly a great thing.”
