The beloved Marathi show Aai Kuthe Kay Karte, which has captured the hearts of viewers for five years, is soon bidding farewell to its audience. Over the course of this journey, every member of the Deshmukh family has become a part of the viewers’ own families. The loving and caring audience has celebrated the happy moments of the Deshmukh family as their own, and during times of struggle, they’ve provided support with concern and affection. Thanks to the love of the audience, Aai Kuthe Kay Karte has not only entered the homes of viewers but also their hearts. However, just as every beginning has an end, this show, too, is concluding, with the viewers’ deep love being its greatest gift. Both the audience and the cast are feeling the bittersweetness of the show’s end. Madhurani Prabhulkar, who played Arundhati, shared her emotional farewell.
Reflecting on the journey of the show, Madhurani said, “When the show started, I never imagined that this journey would be so long and fulfilling. I had no idea that I’d be a part of such a huge and beloved project. These five years have passed in the blink of an eye. We used to shoot for 20 to 22 days a month, spending a lot of time on the set. Arundhati got to do some very intense and emotional scenes with everyone. I never imagined that I’d get to perform such realistic and relatable roles. I still remember the scene where Anirudh takes Arundhati’s hand and says, ‘I don’t need you; your hands smell like spices.’ Arundhati is shocked, and she has her first panic attack. Being part of a scene like that so early in the show was truly a stroke of luck. Many such moments will stay with me forever. After this show ends, I know I’ll miss these moments.”
Madhurani also spoke about the emotional impact the role of Arundhati had on her and how viewers connected with the character. “Arundhati was a reflection of every woman, and I feel blessed to have portrayed such a role. I’ve had so many beautiful moments with my co-stars, and I’ll always treasure the bond we shared. Working under the guidance of Star Pravah, Director’s Cut Production House, Namita Nadkarni, and Director Ravindra Karmarkar has made Arundhati the beloved character she is today. To the audience, I just want to say thank you for your overwhelming love and support for Aai and for Arundhati. The show may be ending, but Arundhati will always be with me. I’ll carry your love and memories of Arundhati as I move forward.”
