The recently released poster of the Marathi film “Parinati – Badal Swatasathi” had already piqued the curiosity of viewers, and now the newly launched trailer is striking an emotional chord with the audience. Starring two powerhouse performers of Marathi cinema, Amruta Subhash and Sonalee Kulkarni, the film clearly presents itself as a women-centric narrative, as reflected in its title and visuals.
This is a story of two women from completely different walks of life — their unexpected meeting, a growing bond of friendship, and the journey of rebuilding their lives with strength after facing emotional turmoil.
In the trailer, Amruta Subhash appears as a doctor leading a seemingly happy life with her husband and son. However, a sudden and serious incident shatters her emotionally. At this crucial point, Sonalee Kulkarni, portraying a bar dancer, steps in to support her. Sonalee’s positive attitude and innate empathy lay the foundation for a gentle and deeply rooted friendship between the two.
Director Akshay Balsaraf shares: “‘Parinati’ is not just a tale of two women — it is a journey of self-discovery. The friendship that blossoms between these two vastly different personalities goes beyond emotional support; it becomes a force that redefines their identity. I believe ‘Parinati’ holds up a mirror for everyone, reminding us that no matter how difficult the situation, if we believe in ourselves, we can rise again.”
Presented by PH Films, Phoenix Films, and InSync Motion Pictures, the film is produced by Parag Mehta and Harsh Narula, with co-producers Amit Dogra, Mona Narula, Ashish Trivedi, Sharda Narula, Manoj Jain, Mohit Lalwani, Kanchan Shah, and Shanta Jain.
Written and directed by Akshay Balsaraf, the film stars Amruta Subhash, Sonalee Kulkarni, and Akshar Kothari in lead roles.
Releasing on 1st August, “Parinati – Badal Swatasathi” promises to be an emotionally stirring cinematic experience — and the trailer makes it clear that this film will keep the audience gripped till the very end.
